I loved the Electric Company, Land Before Time and there was one more witha tht show that I really liked but I cant for the life of me remember the name of it. It had 3 teenagers I think and a buggy type car... One episode they were in this tunnel and there were Banshees in there. Im not sure what show it was... anyone know?

What shows did you like when you were a kid?

I loved the Smurfs and Scooby Doo. I was also a big Mr. Wizard fan!!

i love the smurfs!! i loved weird shows. like simon & simon and the dukes of hazard. i was not a normal child.

Binny are you thinking of Dune Buggy?

Scooby was a favorite. Also HR Puffnstuff.

Way too many! lol. Almost everything that aired on Nickelodeon from the 80s through the early 90s I watched at some point. Of course, I grew up on Sesame Street and Mr. Rogers. I also liked many Nick Jr. shows like The Elephant Show, Eureka's Castle, Little Kowala, Noozles, Pinwheel, etc. Then there are the classic 80s toons like My Little Pony and Friends, which I got up early to watch. When I was little, I'd watch almost anything animated- Smurfs, Scooby Doo, Muppet Babies, Inspector Gadget...I could go on and on- lol.

On those special times when we got the Disney Channel sneak preview, I enjoyed Dumbo's Circus and Welcome to Pooh Corner.

Punky Brewster.... but then, my TV show options were limited. For example, of the nine shows already mentioned, I was not allowed to watch 7 of them. The only two I could have watched, was Dukes of Hazzard and Sesame Street..... all the others were off limits for one reason or another.

I remember feeling like I was watching this show ALL day. It was actually only 3 hours long but to a little kid it felt like all day. I also loved The Electric Company (HEY YOUUUUU GUYYYS!!!) I even got up at 3 am one weekend just to watch it on the N not too long ago. It sure loses some of its magic when you are older, lol. My favorite cartoons were The smurfs, snorks, Shmoo, and Fangface.

Binny, are you thinking of the cartoon Speed Buggy? The car sputtered when he talked and said Varoom aroom room!!

by the way, if anyone has the Boomerang channel, they show lots of old cartoons. Every weekend they show cartoons from a certain year. This past weekend was 1976 I believe.

OH WAIT!!!!! STOP THE PRESSES!!!! My VERY VERY VERY favorite show was CAPTAIN KANGAROO!!! I lived for Picture pages!!!

Oh, and by the way, yes...... Muppet Babies, My Little Pony and Inspector Gadget were on the "off-limits" list.

The Banana Splits!

I also loved the Gene London show, which was a local Philly show on Saturday mornings.

For Saturday mornings, I watched Scooby, Superfriends and Land of the Lost. My favorite "primetime" shows were Happy Days and Little House on the Prairie.:D

Charlies Angels, The Bionic Woman, Wonder Woman, Price is Right, Dallas, Brady Bunch (still will watch it anytime it is on, and if I catch it right from the beginning, I like to see how quick I can guess which episode it is:rolleyes: ) Also, I loved the Match Game. Watching it now on Game Show Newtowk, boy was it dirty LOL!

Somebody mentioned Gene London. We saw him Live one time. They were doing a play of the Wizard of Oz. I don't know if this was true, but in my mind he played the witch. Totally freaked me out! I was so scared.

I loved Electric Company, Schoolhouse Rocks, Isis (I remember spinning in my living room, pretending to become Isis), Peneloope Pitstop. As I got older, my favorite shows were Hart to Hart, Love Boat and Fantasy Island.

Gene London. I loved him when I was little. I would love to see an old episode of that show. :)

I loved Sally Starr, Cheif Hafton's (sp?) talent show, Zoom, and Captain Noah and his magical ark, the New Zoo Revue, & Kimba the white lion& HRPuffNStuff (I was in love with Jack Wild)

I also loved Match Game:rolleyes: and the Gong Show:eek:  :o

Scooby Doo
Ducktails
Darkwing Duck
