What was your FAVORITE board game growing up?

Pay Day and Life... the original versions... the new versions are too goofy for me.

I remember playing Sorry and Clue Jr. many many times with my baby-sitter when I was younger lol

Mine was Chutes and Ladders when I was very young, then the Game of Life as I got a little older. Now I love Disney Monopoly, LOL! :D

The Game of Life and Scrabble. I would love to try that Cranium Game. I hear it is a blast

I liked Life, Monopoly, and Pay Day. When I was really young, it was Uncle Wiggily game.

I seriously have almost every game ever made, I loved playing games when I was younger. I really loved Life, Clue, Pictionary, Scattegories, Mall Madness, Dream Phone and many others I can't think of right now.

Nancy-
I've never heard of the Uncle Wiggly game. Can you fill me in?

Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, Monopoly, The Game of Life, Stratego, Risk, and finally Wizard's Quest (pretty much in that order as I grew up).

Wizard's Quest is one of those Avalon Hill "bookshelf" board games. I bought dozens of them when I was in my 20's, but Wizard's Quest was the only one that I played regularly. A few buddies would drop by and we'd drink rum and coke and play this game for hours. I guess it was our version of poker night.

When the videogame craze hit, I put away all my board games and that was the end of that. One video game that was reminiscent of board games was M.U.L.E. My friends and I spent hours playing the Atari version of that game. Ah, those were the days.

When I was a kid we had this game called Green Ghosts. I don't think we ever learned to play it, but the pieces glowed in the dark which was really cool back then. We also had a game called Peanut Butter and Jelly where you collected quarters or halves of pieces of peanut butter, jelly, and bread and you had to be the first to make a sandwich. Oh, the memories.;)

I was a game with that rabbit, Uncle wiggily, and I think there was a path he had to follow. I think my mom had probably gotten it at a tag sale, because I remember it being old. I must have been playing around the early 70's, so it may be much older than that. Sorry thats all I can really remember, except that I liked it:D

Another vote for uncle Wiggily!!!!

Nancy i don't remeber much about the game either But I do remember playing it numerous times.

I also liked playing candyland, boobytrap and there was a game where you picked the cherries off a tree and put them in a bucket. Can't think of the name of it!!

:teeth:

Was it Hi Ho Cherry O? DD has that game.:)

I just hated to play monopoly... my cousin would always win AND cheat. ;)

But Payday would be my fave followed by the Game of LIfe. :)
