I am just curious what were the experiences of "first-time" Guests who have been wearing the new "First-Time" pins at WDW.Did you find that veteran Guests and Cast Members were friendly and helpful when they saw the pins?I sure wish they had had them during my first trip-maybe I wouldn't have spent so much time trying to exit Animal Kingdom from Discovery Island by going to Asia,Dinoland,Camp Minnie-Mickey,Africa,etc.,etc.LOL:)

I am interested in this also, We are going in September and although I have been there many times my Sister-in Law who is 24 has never been there neither has any9one in her family and where do you get these pins for them???

We got these pins a couple of months ago on our first trip. I really don't have anything to compare it to but a couple of things did happen because CM's noticed we were first timers. First, at MGM a CM approached us almost immediately after we entered the park. She was very nice and very helpful and gave us some advice on where characters were, a good place to view the parade, and a good spot to meet some unusual characters. Then, later in the day when we were going to Indiana Jones, my DS6 had his pin on and was a bit ahead of us. He approached the entrance ahead of us and the CM commented on his pin and his smile and said that he deserved VIP seating. We were seated up front in a VIP area and that was really cool. I really don't remember anything else specifically due to our pins... but I thought that was a good start. We actually had some really great things happen to us throughout the trip - no "wishes" per say, but lots of great things anyway.:thumbsup2

My friend (37 years old) wore one the whole time we were at Disney and she had quite a bit of attention and hellos from various CMs

It was fun for her.

I'd like to know where to get one of these pins. We are taking along a "newbie" this trip and I think it would add some fun to his visit. I've never seen them before.

guest relations in the parks. if you are staying on site i think you can ask there for one.

They have them all over the place, even at check in - ask, the CM's may have one behind the counter.

Here is a pic of my friend - her first time to MK :rotfl:

LOL - see the button? it says First Visit

We got one for my daughter's friend on our last trip but not one CM said a word to her. But she loved the pin!! I told her that it would be the most expensive gift I would ever buy her

Oh, I wish I had known about those pins. That would have been a cool souvenir from my DS, and the rest of grown children.

I am going to get my sister one for our upcoming trip. :)

Thanks for the information.

DD had hers on at MGM one day, and while we were waiting for Indiana
Jones a CM noticed her pin. She then asked DD and DS if they would like to open the show! We got special seats, they got to go in front of the whole audience and say "Lights, camera, action," and then after the show they got a special "tour" of the sound board and got to try out all of the sound effects. I'm so glad DD had her pin on that day!

Our group of 5 had the first time pins on. Lots of CM's talked to us about our first time. My granddaughters talked with a CM who then picked them to announce "The Voyage of the Mermaid Show" They also got signed magical moments and Ariel tattos. Many of the CM's came over during one of the parades and talked to us as well.:)

Ok, I gotta tell my friend about this since they'll be first-timers!! Thanks for the post, I'd never heard of it. :)

Hey, do they have "10th Visit" pins too? ;)

When we checked into CBR my two kids received the pin (their first time). My daughter just wore hers once and my son wore his about 3 different days. I don't think we had one comment by anyone (not that it mattered).:confused3
