What was your Christmas Drama?

We actually had a pretty uneventful Christmas. My Aunt did get her usual cracks about everything in but this year I decided to be the bigger person and just let it roll off my shoulders.

FI and I had a lot of drama over me "dragging him away from his family..." the days leading up to Xmas but on actual Xmas there was no drama.

FI spent Xmas eve with his entire extended family while I worked. (I have no extended family). Around 8 PM he came over my house. We exchanged our homemade gifts & watched some Christmas movies.

Christmas morning, we went to FI’s folks house in the AM for 9. Had breakfast. Hung out (they don’t really do Christmas). His mom got us all gifts which was a shocker as I was told they don't do gifts. I felt bad because I didn't bring anything and everyone else did. I brought brownies. But no one seemed to care that I didn't bring anything. Enjoyed seeing FI’s brother’s GF who I hadn’t seen in a while. Left around 12.

Went to my brothers for 1:30. Hung out there with DB, DSIL, DN2, DN4 and my parents. Had a nice lunch. Gave gifts to DNs and food gift exchange with DB & DSIL. DN4 hugged my FI and it was adorable.

Went back to my parents at 4:30 for Xmas gift extravaganza and FI and I spent 2 hours opening gifts, watching the Disney parade my mom TIVO’d for me, and then we had turkey. My dad and FI ran out to get me fried rice from the Chinese take out up the street because I hurt my teeth a few weeks ago and needed some soft food. Coffee and Dessert. Stayed till around 8:30.

Then FI and I drove home to my house.

Rest of the weekend was uneventful.

The closest thing to drama I can think of was FI’s cousin whose Bday is on Xmas posted an emo/mopey message on his facebook on Xmas night that his Xmas Bday wasn’t very good (and hinted that it was because FI was not there on Xmas day… bear in mind he was there the day before…and also, we will see him TWICE next weekend…)

Oh, and the coat I was looking forward to getting from Target had a broken zipper. That was kind of a bummer but not drama by any means.
