Just wondering how many people return to the first place they have ever stayed? My first was the Contemporary. I was really young either 1st or 2nd grade. I cant remember. I was about 7 so that would make it 1976. But I could be off with that date, my parents are gone and my sister didnt go with us she was in college. I am returning to the Contemporary for the first time since than. Did your returning to your first place bring back memories? I am wondering what it will do for me.

first was the holiday inn out the back gate, and at the time, there was nothing else around it at all. And someone pooped in the pool while we were there
this was in fall of um.... 75 I think.

The first Disney hotel that I stayed at was Coronado Springs.
Second was the Boardwalk Inn. After that stay, I purchased into the DVC at the Boardwalk Villas.

My first hotel was Caribbean Beach. I liked it, but I didn't love it. Its too big for my taste. For a moderate, I prefer Port Orleans French Quarter.

First on property was the Caribbean Beach resort (not sure of the year .. 92? 93 maybe? - edit: Well my sig says 91 so that's probably it. lol). Before that we never stayed in the Orlando area so it was 'somewhere in Clearwater Beach'.

I've been back to CBR a few times since then. My husband and I actually stayed there for our honeymoon. A lot of the things I really remember doing that first trip, though, actually aren't there anymore (the parrots are gone from the island, the spot we used to eat in the food court is part of the restaurant now, etc). I guess those are memories it brings back but I'm not sure if they're good feelings associated with it...

The Disney Inn... I've never been back there but have stayed at many other Disney resorts.

Disney Inn here too. I stayed there when I was eight.

Well...my very first visit to WDW was in 1985 and my friend and I stayed at this dive on International Drive that I think was called the World Inn (or maybe it was International Inn?). Anyway, we knew we were in trouble when we realized everyone at the front desk was complaining that none of the sheets had been changed between guests. So icky -- glad those days are over!

My first onsite hotel was SOG, first true Disney hotel was the Contempory (thanks to the remodel @ SOG). Since then we've stayed at Dixie Landings, Old Key West, Beach Club, Port Orleans French Quarter, and Pop Century. Lots of visits, and lots of wonderful memories. :goodvibes

The first Disney Resort I stayed at was Port Orleans French Quarter in 1998 on my Honeymoon.

As a child, we always stayed off-property at motels. My first on-site stay was at GF for my honeymoon in 1990.

My first hotel was Contemporary. The year was 1977. Drove to Virgina to get the auto train. It was best trip every. Yes everytime at the contemporary I think of my 1st trip to WDW.

:dance3: Our first place was POFQ 4 years ago. It was also the first time my dh, myself and my dd ever went to Disney. We have since fallen in  with Disney and have returned to the POFQ each time. We simply love the grounds and the size of that particular resort. We also enjoy the boat to DTD. However, we would never rule out visiting another resort in the future except maybe the CBR. We are not really beach goers. :dance3:

POFQ Oct. 2005
POFQ Dec. 2006
POFQ Aug. 2007
POFQ Aug. 2008 :yay: CAN"T WAIT!!!

My first Disney hotel (and Disney trip) was the Grand Floridian. I think my boyfriend at the time was still trying to impress me. Must have worked...we stayed there on our honeymoon, too!

My first was Coronado Springs back in Dec 06 for my honeymoon. Oh yeah...and it's also the only Disney resort I've stayed in. Hoping to change that this year!

Carribbean Beach Resort. To this day, steel drum music brings me right back...

The Disneyland Hotel. August 1970, at the exact same time that the Yippies decided to invade Disneyland, "occupy" Tom Sawyer Island, and cause the park to shut down.

Other than that, it was a lovely visit.
