What was that saying?

Hello,

During the half marathon in January, I spent quite a bit of time behind a WISHer and staring at his back kept me moving for a really long time. I vaguely remember there being words on the back of his shirt, and I remember that they inspired me, but I can't remember what they were. Something like "better to have started and not finished than to have not started".

Can someone give me the real quote? I've hit a plateau in my motivation to exercise, and I'd like to see if posting that quote can get me moving again.

Thanks!

I am sure this is the inspiring mantra you are looking for. I know I have seen it on the events/competitions board. I think some WISH racing shirts have the saying. Here it is:

Dead Last Finish
is Greater than
Did Not Finish
which GREATLY TRUMPS
Did Not Start
-- W.I.S.H. Team!

Oh i have another good one for ya "Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels"

Thanks, but that one has never worked for me. There's LOTS of stuff that tastes good enough at the time... then i feel guilty for eating it... then i eat more 'cause i feel guilty... then i feel more guilty.... vicious cycle.

I find exercise - and exercise motivators - work far better for me than trying to control eating. If I try to control eating, I feel deprived and eat anything that's not nailed down. If I force myself to exercise, I forget that I wanted to eat. Stupid, I know, but there's 33 pounds that say this little realization works for me!
