What was/is your MUST have souviner??

It has to be my Grumpy coffee mug . It's so nice to see someone grumpier than I in the mornings

Since I was little...I always have to get the huge character pens that the top is that outline of the character. Went last may and got 5 of them, still use them at work! Going in 10 days, plan on getting 5 more!

Snowglobes are a must for me! I saw one last May that was 150.00 of Cinderella's coach, hope they still have it in 10 days! :earboy2:

CAN'T WAIT!

My husband and I have started a tradition. We each buy something for the other. This past trip he got me Stitch nightgown, and I got him a Kermit t-shirt at MGM :)

That's a nice tradition! Now, do you get the other's gift with them there or do you sneak off to the store by yourself and pick up something up as a surprise?

This year I HAVE to get my hands on a pair of Golden Ears :earsgirl: . I may even have them personalized for the hell of it. I also want that Mickey/Darth Vader poster. These are my only must haves. Last year, all I wanted was a T-Shirt. I probably will get a 50th anniversary mug, magnet, or pin. This is history in the making. I gotta have a piece of it...

Gosh...I have so many!

~Magnet picture frame with the year's theme
~Photo album with the year's theme
~Keychain with the year's theme
~Postcard with the year's theme
~Snowglobe (I try to get a mini one) with the year's theme
~Charm for my bracelet (I only get one per trip)
~Something from a country in epcot (so far we have japan, mexico, norway, and italy)
~5x7 picture
~Pressed pennies (I collect them)

This year, I also want to get DS his first pair of mickey ears (traditional, not gold, hopefully) and a Pal Mickey. We'll also probably get a christmas ornament since we're going in December. :)

I never regret any souvenirs I get at WDW....except for t-shirts which I don't buy anymore. They don't last and the kids always end up staining them or ripping them so I get lasting things.

I love all my jewelry(watch, ring, earrings and gold chain), I have many frames so I won't be getting anymore. The two main things I am getting are Pal Mickey, and X-mas ornaments.

Now for the extras: ( LOL ) pins, a mug, a new watch, .........

Ever since I was a kid, every time I went to WDW, I had to buy this little wooden cork gun they sell in the store in Japan on the World Showcase. My family and I have dubbed this little treasure, "The Poomer" because of the sound the gun makes.

Over the years, I've had about 4 Poomers, and during my 2002 trip, at the age of 22, I had to buy one just to relive the old days. Many things at WDW have changed over the years, but the Poomer remains the exact same as it was in 1982.

This is kind of boring, but I buy one or two baseball style hats every time we go to WDW. I prefer general WDW hats to park specific hats and I also like buying resort oriented hats. I have a dozen or so of these at home that I wear on weekends and (except when I am on the golf course) I never wear any hat but a WDW hat.

Every vacation I've been on I've bought a photo frame. So with next week being my FIRST TRIP TO DISNEY I have to continue the photo frame tradition!!! I'm also planning on getting a scrapbook and a photo album celebrating the 50 year Celebration. For my daughter (and me) I'll be buying the Pal Mickey, and the golden mickey ears hat. Not sure what else I will be getting for my daughter (aged 3), perhaps the sillouette photo mentioend in an earlier post.

Well both. I saw the Stitch nightgown at the gift shop at the CSR and mentioned I really liked it. When we went down to refill his mug one evening he picked it up.

But for him *insert mwahahahah laugh* :) He LOVES the Muppets. After we got off the Muppet 3D show we went and browsed in the gift shop. We were with his family and I had his brother keep him busy. I went and picked up a Kermit t-shirt. He had no clue I bought it until later! I had also bought something for my newborn nephew and that's what he thought was in the bag. So I suprised him! :)

Since my dd was born, we always get her silhouette done in MK. These are inexpensive, and are a great way to see her change throughout the years! Not to mention that I get a copy, and the "extra" copy can be a souvenier for Mimi! ;)

Now, I'm just trying to figure out what kind of economical souveniers I can take back for her preschool class when we go in October!
They may enjoy getting their own Disney dollar in a Disney envelope - cute and inexpensive :)

I always get any new license plates. Right now I have over 220 and when I visit in the next couple of weeks, I know of 6 or 7 new ones I have to get.

Every time I go I buy character pens (usually a villian and mickey or minnie mouse). As a teacher, I am always losing my pens but since they are so unique, no one touches them - this year I had one of my students purchase a minnie pen for me because he hated the cruella d'evil pen. Also, I always buy mickey mouse pretzels - reminds me of my holiday.

...I always bring home coffee mugs. I have a huge collection of Disney mugs and always manage to find five or six new ones to bring home every trip. I love them because each morning when I pick out which mug to have my coffee in, I think of our Disney trips!

I WISH I would have bought a Disney mug when we were at DisneyLand. I will buy one from WDW!! :confused3

I bought earings for myself at DisneyLand thinking I would NEVER wear them - I wear them ALL the time!! :goodvibes

(I also wish I would have bought a Disney charm bracelet for myself just like we got DD - It is SOOOOOO.... cute!)
:earsgirl:

I LOVE Smilies :flower3: (can you tell??)

We always buy a Christmas ornament--I try for one with the year. Last year, we bought an Advent calendar which was great. One thing I want, but haven't found are postcards featuring old Disney art/characters. Would love to frame and display those!

Great thread--thanks!

My favorite souvenirs are pictures.....I often buy the ride photos and various others around the parks when we go to Disneyland....I think I'm gonna be in trouble at WDW, with all the photo opportunities! I also am a scrapbooker and buy stuff for my albums....We also plan on buying a pal Mickey, trading pins, and looking at world showcase shops for unique treasures....oh, and a passport and guest of honor badge for dd.......She also loves pressed pennies!

The one thing I get each trip are those tins with the candy or choc. covered pretzels in them. After we eat what's inside I display the tins in my kitchen. It always puts a smile on my face when I see them. The first one we got has all the characters on it and the other one has a princess and her castle on each side.

We always get the glass mugs with our favorite character and name etched into it. We have one for each member of our family and proudly displayed in my china cabinet! And of course, the Mickey ears!

I get a new set of golf balls every time I go. We also get magnets and a t-shirt. Now, what do I want that I just can't bring myself to get because of the money? The Disney glass art is amazing but I can't afford it. Some of the Mickey timepieces (watches) are very expensive. Also, some of the cookware. I am one of the biggest Disney and Mickey fans out there. The only difference between myself and most of the ones on the DIS boards is that I have a much smaller budget. :confused3 :guilty:
