Somewhere I have video of Michael Eisner coming out of the attraction for the first time. He did not have a smiley face!
It started out kinda un-Disney when the cute little furry alien got toasted in the pre-show. The pre-show was probably the best part of the experience.
Then you went into the old "Rocket to Mars" theater, some space noise and lights, then it went dark. Then you could hear noises and shouting, as the Alien escapes. There was some heavy breathing on the back of your neck as "IT" roamed the theater, and then a spray of liquid that represented blood spurting from a crew member that was being torn apart. Anybody else remember that?
Although this might seem exciting and appealing to someone who had never been there, trust me, it was a yawn! Plus, not even a good place for a nap because of all the noise!
If you never saw it, you didn't miss anything! It was out of place in the Magic Kingdom...
