What type of Virgin Mobile phone do you have?

My phone is ancient - a Kyocera Switch_Back. The battery is not really holding a charge, and I feel that rather than replacing the battery that I should just get a new phone.

I decided on, and ordered, the Venture. I love the look of it.

However, I still do the "pay as you go" plan, and the Venture can do so much more, as it is a "Gingerbread" Droid.

The reviews are not very good on it though. People have complaints that it isn't all that VM is making it out to be.

I am considering upgrading my plan to the monthly plan at $35 month (should have jumped on that bandwagon last year when the plan was only $25 like DH and DS did) so I can get data and use my phone to the full potential.

My real question is : What VM phone do you have and do you like it? And does anyone have a "fancier" phone but still do the "pay as you go" plan?

My DS and I have the Optimus V (mine from Radio Shack and his from Target)and my husband has the LG Rumor (I don't think they sell this one anymore).

I got my Optimus V last year for $150 and I am on the $25 per month plan. I love the phone. I am able to have apps such as Disney Mobile :thumbsup2, TouringPlans and some others. The phone is really intuitive and I get good reception. I know there is a newer phone out there, but I am satisfied with this one.

DS has the Rumor Touch, and DH has the Optimus.

I am the one with the phone that is older than dirt, LOL.

DS loves DH's phone, but I refuse to upgrade him because I just replaced his Rumor to the Rumor Touch, and he doesn't need a phone any fancier than that.

I really like the "Blackberryesque" look of the Venture, and am hoping someone who has this phone will give me a personal opinion of it. My big thing was that I wanted to upgrade my phone, but also wanted a qwerty keyboard because I am not a huge fan of the touchscreen keyboards. I don't really need all of the fancy stuff on it, but the apps and stuff would be nice. I never though I would use my Kindle for games and stuff as much as I actually do, so who knows how much I would use that sort of stuff on a phone!

I have the LG Rumor 2. I also do the Pay as You Go. It works great for me. I text with my DD some and use it as a phone. That's all I need.
My kids are on the monthly plans and have a Blackberry and a LG Optimus Slider. DS has some problems with the Slider glitching on him. They both want iPhones next.

Wife and I both have the Optimus V and my daughter has the Optimus Slider.

I currently have the Optimus elite. I upgraded from the Optimus V.

The V is a good phone except for one thing, it has very little onboard storage. That really limits your options on what you can install.I always found myself having to delete apps when I wanted to try something else. The elite fixes this issue and increases the overall performance as well.

We just switched to Virgin last month and are loving it. $30 a month for unlimited text and data and 300 minutes can't be beat. I am now paying $90 a month for three phones.

My kids have the Optimus Eite and love them. I got the Motorola Triumph for the bigger screen and love it so far. One downside is the battery life stinks...but I am always able to charge it so no big deal for me.

They also offer the IPhone now, but after using the Triumph, I am not sure I would pay for the IPhone. I alao have an IPAD and find navigating the phone to be extremely similar which surprised me since this is the first smartphone I have had.

I have the optimus and the $25 plan. It would be the $35 but I held onto my old rate when I swapped phones. I love the service and the phone.

Don't forget that they now sell the Iphone 4 and 4S. I played with one the other day and it is EXACTLY like any other Iphone with other carriers. The Iphone only costs $30 a month (auto pay) for 300 minutes and unlimited text and data. Can't beat that monthly price...and for an Iphone too. :thumbsup2

I have the optimus V and love it! I use it more like a computer then for the phone itself. I missed the $25/month by about a week but have the $35 plan. What is this $30 plan now? Seems like what I have but a bit cheaper.
