We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids (15,13 and 6). We will be renting a vehicle for the second half of our holiday when we move from WDW to Universal. will return the car at MCO. My question is will a std SUV or full size sedan be able to accommodate 5 of us and our 4 luggages and 2 cabin bags? Will we need a 7 seater instead?

We are a family of 5 and always go with the minivan for sure.

We are a family of 5 as well, and always rent either a minivan or large SUV. We drive an Explorer at home, and that is the size that works for us and our luggage if that helps!

A large sedan, ie: Impala, should accomodate you quite well. 18+cf trunk, it is quite large.

Mom2cgj, now that I check the budget website again, I am considering between the ford explorer and the mini van. Since the explorer is cheaper. Just wondering if there are 5 of us, can the third row of the explorer be folded down to create more luggage space. We will have at least 4 luggages and 2 cabin bags so we need pretty large space for our bags. Yes, I am planning a shopping spree this trip

Yes the 3rd seat in the explorer can be folded down.
