Ive HAD it!!! Im too old for a futon!

LOL

We have a Futon Mattress in a "real" bed frame ie. not on the floor or one of the folding frames. Ive been fine with it for the most part but lately it just doesnt do it for me anymore. I just wake up with all sorts of aches and pains from the mattress. I was actually more comfortable when we were camping!!

What kind of mattress should I be looking for? What is important to know before we make this purchase? I want to be able to have this one for awhile.

I forget the name of the mattress, but it is the one with the independent coils. It has a pillowtop and every night is a pleasure to go to bed. I'll never have anything else.

I have a Kingsdown, pillow top. It is like sleeping on a cloud but do not buy one unless you weigh only 100 lbs. We have a king size and had to already return 1 as it developed a ridge in the middle and 2 holes where we sleep. The new one is developing the same problem.

Sleep Number by Select Comfort and I LOOOOOOVE it! No more back pain from my mattress. It's gives great comfort and even support.

I just bought a Simmons Beauty Rest plush pillow top and I love it. I can't wait to go to bed at night. :p

Your story sounds familiar, we recently "upgraded" from a futon too! (Except ours was on the floor!) We got a Simmons Back Care and really LOVE it! We're sleeping better and our backs feel better too. (I also think it helped curb BFs snoring too.)

I have a down (feather) bed, and I love it.... it's SOOOO comfortable!!!

I sleep on the same brand of mattress as the Queen of England - Slumberland. :)

This is our first pillowtop and I'll never go back. It's sooo comfortable. All pillowtops will eventually form to your body and you'll have that ridge in the middle. You really need to rotate them every six months; flip them side to side one time and top to bottom the next.

I have a Sealy (don't remember what model) and have a featherbed on top of that, pure heaven! The feather bed mollds to your position and changes w/ you if that makes any sense. I sleep half on my side and half on my stomach so the extra contouring is great b/c it helps support my joints (especially around my hip) wonderfully!

an awful one...we get a new mattress every few years and still can't find the perfect one. I miss my waterbed.

Olena I have been looking at the Sleep by Numbers bed. How long have you had it and what did you have before. How much of a difference do you notice between it and a regular matress?

We have a SleepBeauty (I think by Kingsdown). It is about a foot thick but I love it!!

We currently have on layaway a Dormo Diagnostics mattress. OMG... its the most comfortable mattress you will ever try. Although it was way more expensive then we thought we would spend, we figured it was worth it!!!

We have a Select Comfort air mattress. We've had it for a few years now and I love it. I don't get back pain from sleeping anymore... now if they would only make an air pillow :p

We bought this bed last year !!!!!
I love it!! You can't feel the other person ( if there is one) moving or getting in and out of bed!

five years on a Select comfort King Size pillow top-it still sleeps exactly the same as the first night and I would not trade it for anything!
