I was just curious what my family should pack as far as attire for the dates Nov 29th- Dec 6th. Any Suggestions? And how is the weather usually?

THANKS

This is one of our favorite times of year to go to WDW. The weather varies. We usually pack a variety of clothes from shorts & t-shirts to long pants & sweaters. We have been there when we could go swimming during the day. We have also had to wear our winter coats, hat & gloves, too. Have fun!

We too are going at that time. Well, part of that time. We will be at Disney from Nov 30 to Dec 3. We were going to stay at the SOG/Contemporary but they were booked. I am on a waiting list, so I hope that I get some ressies. Just in case we booked the Holiday Inn Mainegate East with a kidswuite. We have been down at that time before and it can go either way as far as what to pack. Basically pack a little of everything. During the day we have worn shorts and t shirts and then jeans and sweats at night. This will be the first time we will be there with kids so I am sure we will be bringing everything and the kitchen sink!! Where are you all staying?? Don't forget to wear your lime green ribbon!!!

P.S. How did you get the counter on the bottom of your post??

hey there materialgirl! I will be at WDW the same time as you! It is such a wonderful time to go!
we'll be there Nov 23 - Dec 7th! I'll have my lime green ribbons on!

The weather last year at that time was wonderful! mid 80's and sunny every day, but cooler at night. a light jacket or sweater was enough though.
it normally doesnt get very cold til January at WDW. but bring shorts and tanks and tee's for day time. and jeans, and a couple of sweatshirts, jackets for evening.

Have a wonderul time!!! :)

Laura :)

We are going at the same time, 11/29-12/5, and I was also wondering what to pack! Guess it's a bit of everything. Last year we were there in May and it was in the 90-100 range everyday, so this will be a nice change. Can anyone tell me how to get the countdown on the posts? I'm new, and I really want to do that!:)

You can get the countdown by going to the Technical board.... just remember cut and paste-that works wonders with their instructions. It may take a couple of tries to get it working, don't worry!!

Good Luck...

Being a native Floridian, I can tell you the weather can really vary that time of the year. It was very pleasant on our trip last year in Dec. We even swam. BUT a week later it was cold. We have even had bits of snow in North FL in Dec during my life. Best bet is to check the weather forecast the week before you leave and let that be your guide. Take a little of everything anyway.;)

We went the first week of December 2000, and let me tell you it was COLD! That was unusual, true, but we were prepared. If I were you, I'd keep a daily watch on www.accuweather.com as your time to leave approaches. It will give you a 10-day forecast that at least will give you an idea of what to expect. Then pack a few other things "just in case". When we went, I took a cheap headband (the kind made for keeping your ears warm) and a pair of those stretchy gloves, and both came in very handy, yet took up no room at all. Hope you have a great time and warm weather!

What a small world PRINCESS ANGEL. Not only are we going the same time as you, we're staying Yaght Club Concierge Lagoon View too!

We'll be visiting WDW at the same time as well.

We'll be staying at POR from 11/28-12/4 and visiting all the parks, etc. carrying a backpack with a lime green ribbon. Maybe we'll see some of you during our visit! :)

We went the first week of December in 1998. It was very warm. We are from NY and there was unusually warm weather there when we were at WDW that week. It was in the 80's in Orlando and the mid-60's in NY.

We are going back this December and I am planning on bringing a mix of shorts/t-shirts, long pants and some sweatshirts/jackets for cool mornings and evenings. With the girls, I actaully have to do laundry on vacation now:rolleyes: , so if we need to wash that's ok. I'd rather be prepared. I always figure that I can buy a nice sweatshirt!

The thing about the weather there is that it can change so quicky. We had friends that went down for Christmas a few years ago and had to wear coats and gloves and we went right after New Years and wore shorts our entire trip.
