What Trivial Thing Does Your Spouse/SO Do Wrong?

When we're watching TV and a familiar face appears and DW can't remember the name she goes "What's that actress's name? You know, she was in that movie.....with that guy....where that thing happened."

I've been grumbling lately because DH keeps doing that lol. Especially since I usually have no clue because he watches way more TV than I do and I'm not good at recognizing faces anyway. And neither do I keep up with celebrities.

I wouldn't mind so much but if he can't figure it out right away, he gets irritated and keeps asking me. All out loud while I am trying to watch the show (AND couldn't care less).

Dunno why it matters so much and why he has to know that very instant lol.

I'm kind of like this, so I keep the IMDB app on my phone and just look up whoever it is. Then, I annoy my wife by telling her all the stuff the person was in before that we know them from.

Does opened ketchup need to he refrigerated? We keep ours in the fridge after opening but I hate cold ketchup.

I also hate cold ketchup...we do keep ours in there, but now thinking maybe we don't need to...we transitioned to syrup and pickles out of the fridge yrs ago, but would like to add ketchup.

Oh he also cannot tell a story. He will start telling you a story and next thing you know it’s 20 mins later, you have no idea what he’s talking about anymore but for some reason you now know about some Joe guy who grew up across the street from his grandma and is now married to some random Jane person. At least he knows story telling is not one of his best qualities.

My husband does something like this. I mentioned that friends of ours are moving to Florida. He said where and I told him. He said “oh Pam’s parents live near there”. Pam is his cousins wife. Why would I know, or care, where her parents live?? I know it’s Florida because Pam visits them and posts on fb but off the top of my head I couldn’t tell you where in Florida. It get exhausting

I worked in a chain restaurant for 2 decades, and we never refrigerated ketchup, mustard, A1, or parmesan cheese! ( I still do at home though because I prefer them cold)

He interrupts my quiet time. I am a true introvert and need my quiet time. I sit in my chair and read or browse Disboards. He is on his pad and keeps telling me the news he is reading or asks if I want to listen to the song he is listening to. He keeps talking. I have to tell him I need quiet time. He doesn't like that but he it is not like he doesn't know. He would talk to a tree if he thought it would respond.

-He's a stickler for turning out lights and will often turn out the lights in a room that I am in!!!

My husband learned a long time ago that I don’t want to be talked to for at least half an hour after I get up. He’s also learned not to wake me up just to tell me something I don’t need to know. He seriously used to wake me up to tell me he was going to bed. Drove me craaaaazy.

Whew! Glad I got that off my chest! lol

Wait...what?!? The milk isn't good until the expiry date on the carton? How else do you determine if it's too old (presuming it hasn't obviously soured)? Do you just set an arbitrary date in your mind, like OK, if we haven't used all this in 4 days I'm throwing it out?

Omg...I thought I was the only one who took eggs out in a balanced way...too funny.

Meh...as long as the empty shells don't get put back in the carton and then returned to the fridge, I can put up with it. I'm gracious like that.

mine constantly dives for the phone to google it - we could be watching a tv show, eating dinner, walking...he's GOTTA know the answer. Sigh...I miss the pre-google days sometimes.

too funny...my guy does this too - usually going straight to IMDB! I'm like "can we PLEASE just watch this show - i don't care what else they did or who they are unless I'm getting residuals."

Not sure about relish, but about 10 yrs ago a lady told me how they never keep pickles in the fridge, so I stopped and we're still here lol.
