What Trivial Thing Does Your Spouse/SO Do Wrong?

Loading the dishwasher. First, she just loads it any ol' way--no rhyme or reason to what goes where. Second, her goal is to get as many dishes in there as possible. Her mission is accomplished if she can shut the door, even if some of the dishes don't get clean.

Nobody will ever accuse me of being a neatnik, but it drives me nuts.

Hubby sings songs out loud, which in itself is fine--but he never gets any of the words right. He just makes them up if he doesn't remember them~~

Doesn't turn off lights. He says it wastes more energy to turn lights off and on than leave them on. That might be true if you are only leaving a room for 20 minutes, but for four hours? Not to mention that in the basement, one lightswitch controls every single overhead light in the basement, there are at least five bulbs down there. I say, "Ok, well if you aren't worried about the electric bill, aren't you concerned about having to replace bulbs?" He says that since they are LEDs, they should hardly ever have to be replaced

Recycling. I'm always pulling cans out of the trash.

To be fair, our local recycling pickup stopped accepting glass about a year and a half ago. I think my partner keeps forgetting what it was they no longer take (i.e., thinking it's metal as opposed to glass). But I might be giving her a charitable benefit of the doubt.

My husband was active duty military while we were dating, we had to write letters while he was deployed. We both kept our letters after we were married. I happened to read through some and found one where he had written a word I spelled in "red ink" on the side of the page shortly after we got married. He was writing it down because he said it just looked wrong for some reason so he was checking if it was spelled right, looked the same when he wrote it down. It has been 30+ years and I still give him a hard time about it.
