What travel documents should Canadians bring?

My husband and I are going to be taking the Very Merrytime Cruise on November 25th, 2017 and as Canadians we were wondering what documentation we needed to bring (if anything other than passports and photo ID). I had read on either the DCL website or the Dreams Unlimited website that we needed our passports and appropriate visas to be able to get back in the US at the end of the cruise. Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this?

You just need your Canadian passport, no visas required for the Western Caribbean cruise. We also bring our driver's licenses to use as ID when we get off at ports rather than carry our passport on shore excursions.
