I was checking on the transportation board but not too much info so I thought I would ask here. The link to the company Pete recommends goes to a Universal site..??

This is the first trip I booked myself so I am not sure who to get to drive us from MCO to our resort...??? We would prefer to be in a town car ourselves (DH & I, DS10 & DD6) so we can get right to our resort.

Any suggestions DISers??

TIA!

We've used Tiffany Town Car our last 3 trips to WDW and have been very satisfied. It costs $95 round trip, which you pay up front. If you go to their website, you can print out a $5 coupon. They will include a grocery stop (1/2 hour) free of charge. Kind of neat - they meet you at baggage claim, holding a sign with your name on it, just like in the movies. Made me feel real important!

Our first trip back in 1999, we went with Mears since that was included in our AAA package. The van smelled from stale cigarette smoke and somebody's perfume, and it took FOREVER to get to our resort since we had to stop and drop off other people first. Then I learned about Tiffany Town Car - it was either this site or Deb Wills' site (both now advertise another town car company). We switched to Tiffany Town Car in 2001 and it's worked out great for us.

We used the Florida Tours that is advertised on the wdwinfo home page. It was very nice. The link doesn't seem to work today though.

Pete is having server problems LOL! None of the Werner links (Fl Tours, The Timeshare Store etc) are working properly.

Disney offers FREE transportation to/from MCO to your resort now! It's called the Magical Express! Just call (or have your TA call) Disney and sign up! They just need your flight information! They will even pick up your bags for you and transfer them right to your resort, so you don't have to worry about them! :sunny:

We've also used Tiffany Towncar 3 times and loved it. They also have a free grocery stop and are very efficient.

Now that ME is available, I'd be tempted to use that and order grocerys to be delivered to my hotel room.

Another vote for Tiffany TownCar. :cool1:

I've used Mears twice and Tiffany once. Both companies were clean, friendly and quick.

Since our flight was so late getting into MCO last April, Mears had a town car come pick up my son and I.

Next month will be using ME since it's free. :moped:

It all depends... I've used Tiffany numerous times and loved them. I've rented a car numerous times as well. Depending on my trip, sometimes it is cheaper to rent a car than it is to use a towncar. I've also used Magical Express and I did fine with it (early flight in and later flight out). I really do like having a car though, and with the cost of all towncars going up, I find that a car is definitely worth the $$

We use Southern Elegance. Fabulous service. We'll be using them again in a few months...

Why only the free Magical Express! Can't be that kind of price!

Thanks for all the replies! :) We are not interested in Magical Express. We do not have a package as we have ap's and I booked everything myself. We like the towncars since it's only your family and you only go to your resort. We used to take the bus or the shuttle from Mears and it seemed to take forever to get to the resort once you had to drop everyone else off..

But this DOES take longer than getting a town car. The bus won't leave the airport until full (or close to it) and makes multiple stops, so you could have to go to 2 or 3 other resorts before getting to your own. You also get picked up at the hotel about 3 hours before your flight. This can cut into your vacation time by quite a bit, depending on what your touring plans are.

Also, I don't know if people are aware of this, but ME won't be free forever. It's free now as a promotional tool and as a way for Disney to work out the bugs in the system before they start to charge people for it. I would guess it won't be free after the 50 DL aniversary event is over next spring.

We also used them, when we went with my whole family. It was cheaper to get a van with them than use mears. We also prearranged our departure, very convenient and reliable.
