What toll roads will we encounter...how much change should we have on hand?

We're picking up a rental at the airport, then have a hotel stay at a Hampton Inn (that's near the airport). Then we drive to Universal property for 3 days, then to WDW property for 5 days, then have a hotel stay in Kissimmee. Then back to the airport to fly home.

From my limited research I've done, I think we'll hit a toll road on the way from/to the airport and it should be a couple dollars each time. If I have about $7.00 in change (does it need to be change - can it be dollar bills and quarters, etc.), should I be fine?

I love driving in a new city, but it's also a bit scary (maybe that's that I love about it?! :rotfl:)

Depending on what exit you get off at there may be a ramp toll booth requiring exact change; quarters will suffice. The main line toll booths include attendants who take dollar bills.

Watch carefully for signs. Some main line toll booths require that you go down what looks like an exit ramp if you are paying cash. The main lanes here with a thin archway and no booths are only for those with Florida-only electronic transponders (Leeway, Sunpass, E-pass) or who signed up with their rental agency for the express toll option.

Suggest getting a receipt as often as possible.

The 535/536/Epcot exit off Rte. 417 (I think only one route number is on the sign) has no exit toll (follow 536 to Disney). The next exit off Rte 417 is Osceola Parkway and it has an exit toll.
