Might be a stupid question but what do other people where when they fly this class?:rotfl2:

I go naked.......

:lmao:

Seriously what ever you feel comfortable in, I wear cotton trousers and a t-shirt type collared top and have a cardie/fleece with me for if the aircon gets a bit fierce :)

Claire ;)

Sarah has just told me off. She reckons the thought may make people ill...

I of course consider myself a bronzed god - though probably the only god I would ever look like would be budda....!

Steve.

My brother travels PE to Las Vegas every 2-3 months always flies in a suit even when its for pleasure not business. He gets upgraded to Business class more than anyone I know, personally I could not wear a suit for 10-11 hours just hoping to get an upgrade.

He's probably getting the upgrades because he flies so often--airlines do try to reward their regular customers.:)

You seem to have touched a raw nerve there, Rachel ;) . I think it's a perfectly understandable question to ask if it's your first time. As with most walks of life, you'll see a huge range of garb, from suits to grunge. I agree that dressing for comfort makes sense, although I don't do casual very well at the best of times.

Dh often wears a suit (whatever class we're flying) because lately he needs a jacket for V&As. Taking it on the plane makes more sense to him than packing it - both because it takes up space and it gets creased in the case. We've been upgraded a fair few times and I wouldn't describe us as frequent flyers, by any stretch of the imagination. All sorts of factors come into the equation, but we've definitely been looked up and down, on more than one occasion, before being offered an upgrade.

Virgin staff have told me that they prefer PE passengers and above to dress as immaculately as possible.

They suggested that if at all possible you must try to wear a top hat and shoes must always be polished.

:rotfl2: :thumbsup2

I've just come back from flying Upper Class to China for the 4th time. There are NO rules at all about what to wear. It amazes me the variety that you see, from businessmen in suits to scruffy oiks (like my good self) in jeans and tee shirts. :thumbsup2

As Deb says, there is definitely more chance of an upgrade if you look smart.

I went Upper Class with Virgin and wore my British airways T shirt.

Ok I wore what I wanted to wear, the amount of money we pay them you can do what you want.

I wasnt asking to get an upgrade - just curious what others wear - obvioulsy I will leave the white tracksuit and bling at home then:rotfl2:
