So many great links and ideas in this thread. Thank you!Is anyone going with a more casual look rather than the more formal, pin-up type look? Or would we be really out of place doing that? Also, does anyone have good ideas for vintage fashion for the "non-vintage" body? I am a plus size girl and don't really have a defined waist. It seems that everything I find will not look flattering on me in the least.
Last question! Would shoes like these look ok with a cute skirt? I am a barefooter at heart and the idea of wearing cute heels or even most ballet flats sounds painful!
The shoes are adorable!!
Dapper Day is about having fun and there are no set rules on what to wear.
Capri pants/ petal pushers were really popular in the 1950's if you want to go with a more casual look. Throw on a pair of cat eye sun glasses and wear a scarf around you neck or in your hair and you will have a comfy retro look.
Torrid carries a cute line by the name of Retro Chic too. I have purchased a few dresses from their collection and they are very flattering.
