What to use to carry phone (Iphone) at parks?

I purchased a $5 holster for it last year. It makes it handy because I don't have to take it out of the pouch to check the time, I can hear it when it rings, check the Lines app quickly, etc. However if we go on a water ride that baby gets put in a plastic bag.

Can you post a link to the specific holster model you ended up with? I have looked at so many online but I can't tell which ones are good.

I love, love LOVE my SPI Belt. I mostly use it to carry my phone/ID/keys when I run, but it's perfect for use in the parks, too. We're here now (but leaving tomorrow :( ) and I've used my SPI belt several times when I didn't want to lug the mini back pack around. Plus, you don't have to deal with the bag check area...

I second whoever suggested getting an Otterbox case - they're great!

I bought the Vera Bradey Mini Hipster for my iPhone and sunglasses. It's the perfect size for the parks and lightweight.

I use one of these for my iPhone 4 :) I have the pink one. You can clip it on your camera bag, backpack, jeans, etc. OR just carry it on your wrist with the wrist strap, that's what I do most of the time.

They sell them on Disneystore.com. & they're $12.95.

I've had mine about 6 months now and I've had no problems with it. I like it so much I purchased a black one for future use after the pink one gets worn out, lol.

I'm sure hoping these are available at the parks! I may buy one of each for myself, too.

I'm a guy and keep my phone in my pants pocket; so, no fancy bag reviews from me.:)

BUT; lemme pass on a few tips concerning Disney & iPhones.

1) install the 'find my iphone' app today, before you need it.
2) as one of the pp's mentioned, put the iphone in a otter box defender case.
3) leave your phone in the room and get away from it all. the magic is interrupted every time you check a score, answer a text/call etc..:guilty:

concerning 1 & 2: not once, but twice, i've left my phone on top of my car while at the gas station. BOTH TIMES, the otter box case protected it when it hit the pavement at highway speeds. the second time i had driven over 20 miles before i realized my phone was missing.. thanks to a fellow iphone owner and the 'find my iphone' app, i tracked it back to within 20' of where it landed. the phone lives on in it's new otter box case- i'll never use anything else.
:thumbsup2

i used the vera bradley all in one wristlet. it holds the iphone perfectly and i have room for my tickets, cards, etc without the bulk. when i get tired of carrying it--it goes in his cargo shorts perfectly!

I've been using the VB all in one wristlet since 2008? I love it! I had a blackberry then and when I got my iPhone last year, I switched to the VB carry it all wristlet (same thing, just a tad bigger). I hook the wrist strap through my belt loop and put the wristlet in my pants/shorts pocket.

The VB Wristlet looks great! But, it looks like there's not a closure for your cell phone, just a pocket. Have you ever had it slip out?

Never had mine slip out (I've got three carry it all wristlets), but they will NOT fit if they have a case on the phone. I can't get my iPhone 4 (or my previous iPhone 3Gs) to fit in any of my VB Carry-it-All Wristlets with a case on it. They are pretty snug, but I still like to keep the case on it.

Plus, I end up using an external charging case (mophie juice pack air) when at WDW. It won't fit in that wristlet.

Darn! I've got an iPhone 4 that I have to have a case for, since I drop it way too frequently, plus I'm toying with taking an external charger, too. I guess it's not for me -- at least for WDW! Thanks.

I just got a smartphone and have a case for it. I plan to dump that into my backpack and forget about it. Only reason I'll be taking the phone is for the clock feature. I have no plans to be on the thing while at Disney World. I'll be on vacation. I think my husband will probably leave his back in the room in the safe.
Okay, I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest... instead of tossing a multi-hundred dollar 'clock' in a backpack, maybe go low-tech with a $10 watch on a wrist? :teeth:

LOL!!

Seriously, everyone be careful with pockets. I went to the bathroom in the movies once and had my phone slip out of my pocket -- right into the bowl -- and the automatic flusher flushed it right down.

Needless to say I bought a new phone that day AND now I always put my phone in my handbag or a pocket with zippers now.

I have my phone in an otterbox defender case and have dropped it enough to trust the case. I carry a ziplock bag to put it in if it rains hard or I'm on a wet ride.

I have phone pockets in about 1/2 a dozen pairs of shorts and use the side pocket on carpenter pants or cargo pants t ocarry it as I don't trust and hip or belt case.

My phone in that bulky case is about the same size as the leather sleeve I carried my blackberry in so choosing the otterbox was hinged on if the case fit in my current shorts pockets.

I can't stand carrying a bag, the only thing I need to solve is how to carry glasses in a case with out a bag. I've been trying to bribe the kid to carry one so she can carry my glasses, but I've had no luck so far.

I second the ziplock bags! We do the same thing. Fantastic for keeping your phone dry.

Its like a scene from The Office.

They are at Andy's play and Kelly asks Ryan what time it is. Instead of what happens now, pulling out your phone and showing it to the person. He pulls out his iPad. :rotfl:

Mine only goes in a pocket with some sort of flap. A zippered one if at all possible.

I rode a laydown Superman type coaster and didn't think I needed one of those lockers they had at the ride.

I barely enjoyed the ride because I was worried about my two phones and my glasses in my not so great pockets. Everything worked out OK.

Get the Otterbox Defender case. I brought my phone into the world and I had the phone on the belt clip, clipped to my pocket on my basketball shorts. It never fell once or twice because people would bump into me and knock it out of the clip ( i have a 3GS ). IF you have the iphone 4, you'll be safe with the otterbox.
