I'm going this morning for an inexpensive manicure/pedicure/eyebrow wax that costs 15. total. Who do I tip & how much? Will they let me bring my own nailpolish?

wow!!?? a waxing of the upper lip alone costs $15 here! You are getting a great deal! I would tip $3-$5. They usually have MANY different colors so no need to bring your own polish. They usually have a specific brand they use.

Wow, that is so cheap. I usually tip 20% of the total, but for all the work they are doing I would tip $5.

When I was getting married, I brought my own nail polish in that I wanted them to use and it was no problem.

Total for me when I did manicure, pedicure and waxing was around $70.

There are a lot of small nail salons around here (LI, NY) that do this during the week. This doesn't include tips, designs, or a french manicure, but I don't really need that so I get off pretty cheap! :cool1:

I would tip $7 ($2 for the mani, $3 for the pedi, $2 for the wax). That is a ridiculously cheap price, lucky you!

I usually tip around 20% if they did a good job, which would be $3. Since you are getting such a good deal, I would tip $5. $20 well spent. Enjoy.

I don't think many places will let you bring your own polish. They have a nice selection. Of course, they will let you buy a bottle of theirs ;) .

What a great deal! I go with the $5 - $20 is still a great deal. You might call and ask about the polish -- my grandmother has a favorite color that they let her bring, but I'm not sure if that's universal or because Grandma is a bit .... well, forceful.

Great price! We have dozens of nail salons (plus banks and pizzarias) here, and the cheapest mani/pedi is $23. Lots of people bring their own polish, so if it chips, they can fix it at home.

All I have to say is WOW  to that price!!!!

Around here I can easily tip more than $15 just for those services :lmao:

Just had mani/pedi yesterday and it was $20. I hadnt had a pedi in a LONG time. I tipped the lady $10.

I would tip similar to when I had the procedure done for full price. Not quite as much but just under. Maybe $10. I figure they are still doing the same work and still getting less of their pay since they usually get paid a comission based on their production. JMHO.

Please post some eyebrow pictures after. If it was that cheap around here I would do it. I am tempted to try the threading lady at the local mall. She makes it look so easy and I have not heard any screaming.

Yeah what's with the threading popping up in all the malls lately?:confused3 I would love to try that too figuring they may have a bit more control of what they are removing to shape things. It's truly an art and although my eyebrows look much, much better waxed I have not found the right look yet.

Those prices....seriously?!?!?!?! You have no idea what I would give to have that pricing. If there was any way I could only pay that much, I would have to say the tip would be at least $20.

But that is considering that the cheapest mani/pedi/wax combo around here is at least $50+.

WOW!!!! That's super cheap!!!! I pay 45 for a pedi, 35 for a manacure(non french) and 22 when I get my eyebrows done!!!! Holy cow I'd love to pay that!! That's not even with my tip!!!!! :sad2: Go have a great time!!:cheer2:

I also live on LI, and we don't have any prices like that around here - sometimes during certain days of the week they will have a mani/pedi for like $20 - but I've never heard of the waxing also, and for a lower price - there must be alot of competition where she is.
