What to take on trip and into parks???

that's a pretty wide question.

I think alot of it depends on who "you" are (Age, sex, # of people with you, their ages and sex) and what time of year you are going.

Geneally, anything you take with you on a dya outing (THink, Zoo, amusement park, even Mall if you tend to be an "All day" shopper) would give you an idea of what you "need" at WDW.

ALthough I have to say I take far less with me to the local zoo than to Disney. Well actully that's not true either since I do not take a diaper bag into the WDW parks.

THere are plenty of "What to pack" lists out there.

If you give us some more information, we may be able to better answer you.

Hi~
Thank you for answering my question with another question, I really didn't think that one through did I? LOL I'm a mom :laundy: 36 yrs. and traveling to WDW for the first time with a teenage boy 14 and a young princess princess: 7, they are both excited to be going to say the least, although I think I'm the one most excited, DH seems to care less. :cool2:. I'm doing all the planning and want to make sure I'm doing it right, here's my list of things to get.

Panchos,Autograph books,Big pens,Sunscreen travel size and normal, back pack for self-not to big,Digital camera,glow-sticks to buy ahead of time, snacks, water bottles,mini-fans for the kids, video games for long lines, sunhats, sunglasses for everyone, lots of zip locs.
OK that's what I have so far to take to the parks, oh and everyone has to wear a fanny or back pack. I'm not carrying anyone stuff! :sad2:

We are going to be there May 23rd, through the 30th, staying at PC. Not sure what the weather is going to be like other than muggy and hot. I'm doing the DDP, I've made all the ADR's, really happy about my choices:cloud9: (read lots of reviews), I've made out most of what we need to hit while in parks (when they open and then later at EH's). Hmmm not sure what else, Oh did I hear somone mention a barber shop to get a special hair-do for cheap in the MK????
Thank you everyone for your amazing cherished advice. God Bless you!

Have you got a Guide Book? Check out the Unofficial Guide to WDW or Passporter to WDW. From what you have said, these two guides have just about all you need. There are lots of info. there and lists! I am a list person and I use these two (and the DIS) for all my information.

As far as what to take into the parks, I think that depends on your needs. I agree about everyone caring their own stuff! Just wish that I could get them to do it!!! :rotfl: Seriously, in the Passporter, there is a list to give you a guideline as to what to take. Both in the parks and what to pack for your trip.

Go and enjoy!!!!!:cool1:

Paunchos are a must. We went a week ago and it rained one night at MGM so much that everyone that didn't have rain gear left the park. We got on all the rides so quickly. It was a good break from the spring break crowds. My husband was shocked that I was so prepared. I said it was all that DIS time. Your list sounds good. Add some sanitizing wipes travel and regular. Try to buy the fans that you can put water in they are awesome in the hot weather and it will be hot down there. Are you driving?

No, Thank The Lord! Got great rates through South West. I appreciate all your advice, to everyone else also. I LOVE THIS BOARD! My dh and kiddos see me on the computer daily since I've been planning and thank me for doing what it takes to make our trip a really special one. Thanks to the great websites and this board I'm doing it!:woohoo: BTW sanatizing wipes such a good idea! Why both sizes? Just curious. Thank y'all again.

I myself wouldn't be able to tell you from my own experience, but page 8 will help you tons! When your here looking at the posts under this forum, go to page 8 and read until you run into several posts about what to take, or not to take and what buy, etc. It was a huge help!
I need to get off of here this is me all day without the coffee :surfweb: LOL

Millie

The only other thing I'd tell you to bring is band-aids. You can get them from the first aid spots but it';s a lot easier to have them if you need them. Thats a lesson I learned last time the hard way lol. Have a great time!

I have a fairly extensive packing list. If you would like it just PM me. I also have a list of meals that I always choose from when going on vacation. I don't know if where you'll be will have a kitchenette/kitchen.

Millie- I would also add a travel size bottle of ibprofen or tylenol and maybe a lipbalm with sunscreen. Sounds like you have a great list! As far as the barber shop I hear that they will do a haircut/trim for around $10 and then decorate your hair with glittery sparkle hair gel, make mickey designs on the back of your head etc. Lots of people talk about having "baby's 1st haircut here" but I have also seen a picture of a grown man with a mickey head in colored hair spray on the back of his head. Not sure what they do for girls, haven't seen any pics. Maybe most girls head to Bibbity Bobbity Boutique?

Batteries & extra memory card for the digital camera! :thumbsup2
