Sorry if this has been posted before.

But what and how much should i take for a 4 night stay with a 2yr old in January 08.

Im staying at the Santa Fe, do they supply towels etc?:confused3

I dont want to over pack but i also dont want to underpack either.

Any suggestions gratfully appreciated :)

Hi,

You don't need to take towels, and you should get shower gel and soap provided in your hotel bathroom.

For a 4-night stay in January (thats when you're going, right?) you'll need warm outfits, layers, and extra socks/footwear, just in case you get really awful weather. Only one extra set though, as the radiators in your room will be on full pelt, and should easily get your wet things dry overnight (we even had the overhead fan on all night 2 weeks ago, as the room was so warm :confused3 ).

As you will be taking a hold-suitcase anyway, and not hand baggage, you might as well take what you think you'll need, rather than not have enough dry clean clothes for the pair of you.

You don't need to go overboard, and remember to leave room in your case for all the souvenirs you'll have to bring home :lmao:

If you're taking more than one suitcase then I always pack some of my stuff in someone elses's suitcase and vice versa, just in case one doesn't turn up at the other end.

This time luckily DD is taking her own suitcase so I'm packing a couple of sets of her clothes in my case and a set of mine in hers. Just hope she doesn't decide she can't be bothered wheeling it and I end up with 2 suitcases and a buggy to manhandle!

My DD(6) did exactly that last month - we each had an overnight trolley bag (we were only staying 2 nights) and she gave up wheeling it before we'd even left the arrivals area at the airport.

I'll be packing the bigger suitcase for the 2 of us again next time!

Also consider taking a light weight fleece blanket - my youngest DGD (is that the right abbreviation for Disney God Daughter?) gets cold sat in a buggy and its nice to have something we can wrap round her.

Remember as well that some of the budget airlines now charge you per bag you check in so you might want to take one thats not quite full to ensure you can pack all those Disney goodies for the way back.

For our little ones we also pack biscuits, crisps, some sweets etc so they have something to snack on and we don't have to keep buying stuff.

Hey thanks for all the replies. Im going by Eurostar so dont have to worry about paying extra for bags etc.

I was thinking of packing snacks and some fruit shoots for my daughter to take with us, these are allowed to be taken over to France arent they?

Hi again,

We're flying but I always take some snacks just so I have something on hand when I hear "I'm hungry". My DD also loves the pain au chocolat on offer at breakfasts in Disney so we normally take an extra one for her to eat mid morning. I normally take a few bottles of water too but I have been told that at the moment you can't actually take any liquids through passport control so have to buy drinks once you have gone through.

I don't know what the position is on Eurostar with liquids, hopefully someone else will help.

Hope you have a great time when you go. We (me and DD) can't wait - 6 more sleeps to go!

Well I popped to Tesco last night to buy my thermals while there was still 20% off and very fetching they look in black :lmao:

As we are going over Christmas I'm also taking a small pre-lit tree, stocking and fillers for my daughter and her presents. The tree was a January bargain and so can be left if there is no room to bring it home. I've seen some nice battery operated decorations in Marks on 3 for 2 so I'll probably buy some of them.

Some hot chocolate sachets and a box of crackers to have with pate and/or cheese for supper and I've bought chocolate decorations for the tree so we won't go hungry through the night!
