What To Skip At Ak?

I agree that Lion King is a do not miss thing to do at AK. Great show!

T&B

I skipped Primieval Whirl, because I don't like spinning rides. I liked Dinosaur, but I can see how small children would be frightened on that ride.

Don't skip the Safari, or the Festival of the Lion King show

I have to second (or third) the suggestion of skipping the Rafiki Planet Watch area. By the time you wait for the train, ride on the train, walk to the main building and reverse all of that you'll have burnt about 1 1/2 hours. For us, though, AK is an all day park even without Rafiki's Planet Watch. I also think that the Pocahontas show is only a must for fairly young (maybe 6 or under?) children.

ak is not a zoo...............i dont get it when people say that. it is my favortie park, along with magic kingdom. Im not crazy over kali rapids cause i dont like to spin or get soaked. my dd and friends love it. We love the whole place. like everyone says, you have to go and take your time. the walk through part is really nice, alot of dif. things to see. esp. the GIANT gorillas;;;;;;;;;they are really neat to see. the restaruants are pretty decent, of course we must go to pizza fari on every vist- my dd is 15 year s old , still likes AK. please go, take your time and im sure you will love it...............but keep in mine.......AK is NOT A ZOO>>>>>>>>>

You've all got that right- AK is NaHTaZu!

I know the animal sightings depend on the time of day, temperature, etc. but the Kilimanjaro Safari is definitely one of the best things at Animal Kingdom! Even when we didn't get to see as many animals it was a fun experience, with the "Little Red" story and everything.

Kali is good if it's hot and you are wearing flip flops (or take your shoes off).

Dinosaur is a must do just because it gives you the excuse to clutch the person next to you and scream in the middle of a children's ride, haha.

And of course there is so much more...

Devine is not to be missed. She appears on the path between Africa and Asia, I think. Watching her do her thing is so cool.

We just saw her there for the first time a few weeks ago. I've looked and looked on previous trips.

My feeling is that it is a half day park if you do everything.

Define everything. I completely disagree with this statement. The last time I took my family into this park it took us the entire day and we skipped a lot. Just trying to see all of the shows and the parade will take you half the day. That certainly isn't everything.
