What to sign up for first?

I know there are several activities you need to sign up for upon boarding. What usually fills up first? Princess gatherings, spa appointments, tastings, etc. are all offered, and we would like to know what would be the best order to register so we don't miss something we really want to do. Thanks so much for all the good information I have been getting from these boards.

To me, you've answered your own question.

The best order to register in is whatever activity interests you the most. Start there and work backwards. Enjoy your cruise.

Thank you so much for responding, but while I would enjoy the tastings, grandchildren want the character meets-do those fill up first or are the tastings very popular/limited?

From what I've heard (not a drinker myself) the tastings do fill up rather quickly so if that's your thing, then would look into that first. They do only take a
limited number of people.

The characters hold meet and greets during the entire cruise. Your Personal Navigator will let you know the times and places. While all the character meets are popular,
some like the Princesses and Mickey especially so, my advice would be to drop by early and see if the line has already begun to form. If so you may wish to get
in line and just wait. Have fun.

I would say tastings/mixology are probably more limited in offering than the ticketed character greets, but whether they fill first may just depend on the interest level among passengers of your cruise. If sign-ups are in different locations (port adventures desk vs guest services), could your party split up -- with someone going to each location for the respective sign-ups?

Enjoy your cruise!

Although this is true - the Frozen greetings and Princess Gathering (plus a couple of others that are specific to the ship like Marvel on Magic and Toy Story on Wonder to name but a few) require tickets to be got on the first sea day. If they are really important than I would make sure you do go get them. As said I think if there are a couple in your party then split up and do both at the same time that way there is no issue.

Spa appointments can be booked online if available but some are left for onboard booking and the same with Palo. Palo tends to be either in the same place as the tasting or in Palo so something to think about if you can't prebook.

You can go to Guest Services as soon as you get on and sign up for the alcohol tastings then go sign up for Anna and Elsa tickets and the Princess Gathering-- usually at noon on the day you get on the ship. I believe that Palo reservations are usually done starting at 1:00 up in the restaurant. So they do stagger the times a little.

Otherwise you can divide and conquer-- one adult go sign up for the characters while another signs up for the tastings and Palo. Good luck!

We just sailed on 7/25...we didn't sign up for any spa stuff.

First stop was Guest Services to put gift cards on the room (Deck 3 mid-ship)
Then Port Adventures to get Anna and Elsa tickets (Deck 5 mid-ship)
Then we signed up for tastings in La Piazza (Deck 4 Aft - we were on the Fantasy)
We also checked to make sure that our MDR request of having our own 2-top table was met (Royal Court, Deck 3 mid-ship)

This worked out well...seemed like we'd go somewhere and then 10-15 minutes later we'd walk back past and there would be a giant line, where when we were there earlier, we just walked right up. We had a 10:30 Port Arrival Time and got on the ship around 11:30.

Oh yes on longer cruises they may have character breakfasts too and these will be on the welcome onboard navigator and will be with the character signings

I was reading in another thread that character breakfasts are now a ticketed event.

We had a ticket character breakfast on the Nagic a few weeks back, concierge got us the tickets, it wasn't really advertised so best advice got yo guest services and ask.

You can also divide and conquer - assuming more than one adult of course. One adult go get the gathering tickets and one go to the appointed location and get the mixology tickets as long as you've agreed on which one(s) you want to do and are flexible with times.

Spa treatments *can* be signed up for on line, though I have never known there to be a problem getting them onboard beyond the "it looks like we'll fill up soon, so you NEED to make your appointment NOW!!!" pressure you get when you ask about them in person. (In my experience, it IS a tactic because I called later that same day to enquire about one and was again told "Yes, we have plenty available. But...they are filling quickly." So, yeah... I didn't book. Waited to get home to the guy I know has a clue what he's doing for my massage.)

Now, if you want the length of cruise Rainforest Pass (much better than the "treatments" IMHO) those do sell out, so I would get that bought quickly.

You would recommend the rainforest pass? What exactly does that include? Might be something to think about as it's just DH and myself. However, I'm not sure I'd use it every day, but then again I could regret not purchasing when I had the chance so it's something I'll need to research for sure!

I would do it for a day at the time you are unlikely to use it each day, its the rainforest room at the Spa. If you google it you will get photos.

Is there an advantage to buying the pass?? Is it cheaper if buying the length of cruise pass? I may just use it for my daily shower, it looks like there are locker rooms right across from our cabin (11004) (not sure if these locker rooms are the rainforest ones though?)

There is a small advantage but imho, you will not use it every day, so thats then eroded.

The rainforest showers are NOT for your daily shower. They are scent and temperature and water strength experiences. No curtains, and you wear a swimsuit while experiencing them.

The regular showers are in the locker rooms and are available for all adults.

Wow! Thanks for clarifying that, lol - maybe daily pass will be fine for us. I am guessing the locker rooms across from us (11004) are the regular adult lockers we could use for showering then

When you sign up for certain character meet and greets is there an extra charge or is it a sign up bc of how popular the character is?
