What to ship down before leaving??

Has anyone used NetGrocer to ship to WDW? I've used them at home for items I can't find in my local stores, and had no problems.

We were at the Pop in Sept '06. We had 4 adults and 4 kids (2 of which were in diapers) with us. We shipped the boxes via UPS ground about a week and a half prior to our arrival and the cost was somewhere between $50-$60 which was less than we would have spent buying bottled water at the parks for 10 days! You can pretty much ship anything that is non-breakable and non-perishable!

I split the following up between three 18 x 12 x 12 boxes:

Bottled water
diapers
baby wipes
rain slickers
sippy cups
small boxes of cereal
lots and lots of snacks (pretzels, crackers, cookies, pop tarts, etc.)
coloring books/crayons
an extra duffle bag to bring home souvenirs

Good Luck and enjoy your trip!

The more I think about it the more I like the idea of shipping a box down before we go. It would save us room in the trunk of our car.

Packing my box now, have a few snax, sunscreen, hairspray, window decorating stuff( don't want to wait for luggage) i disposable camera, Koolaid packets ,which incedentally you can get at Walmart about $1.78 for 10 also have found some at dollar stores but Walmart has more flavors. Just thinking of what I can't carry on and may need right away!!

I understand you ship to the resort you are staying at, but where would I find the address? This is a great idea. I'm planning on shipping cereal, water, ponchos and I'm sure my list will grow by the time I need to ship.

Call the resort that you are staying at - I beleive you can find the phone number on disney.com - if not just call the reservation number and ask them for the number. Once you call the resort, you can get the address, find out exactly what you need to write on the package and let them know it's on the way!

Have a magical trip! :wizard:

Does anyone know how long the package will remain at the resort before it is "removed"?

I called SSR yesterday and they told me they will not keep a package longer than a week. We are checking in Saturday, so I am going to FEDEX it through work (yes, a GREAT perk - free FEDEX) Tuesday. After the week, I donn't know what they do with it.

Last March I sent a package 7 days before our arrival. It worked great and I am going to do it again this year.

Has anyone ever shipped liquids..juice boxes?

Thanks

we shipped three boxes last Sept - and sent them about 10 days ahead of our arrival.

We packed bottled water. We put he bottles in a trash bag at the bottom of the box and they shipped fine.
