I read on here about people sending a box of things down before they left for Disney. I was wondering what sorts of things to put in there. Food? Accessories? If anyone has any ideas or a list, please help :confused3 Thanks for all of your help in advance.

I usually ship down a few items that I need for cooking. I buy the food down there but I pack some spices that I might need as well as some snacky things my daughter likes that are store brands that I can't find down there. This year also I am shipping down all my "gel" type things that have been reported to cause problems on the plane such as hair products, hand sanitizer and even a small thing of laundry detergent, dishwasher liquid (I hate to buy a big thing of it and use it twice) and bath soap. Last year was the first time we stayed off site and I totally spaced out that there wouldn't be complementary soap or dishwashing detergent so I had to make a special trip the day of arrival to get those things. I also toss in a kitchen sponge, (if you are staying in a condo off site) you never know.... I pack most of those things in ziploc bags so I can have those handy as well. I packed a few pool rafts that I bought inexpensively at Walmart and just left them there for others. I also packed a few small candles for a little aroma therapy after a long day at the parks! Hope this helps and hope you have a great trip!

Thank you very much for your help =) It is very much apprieticated. Like i thought about shipping like snack items and such. I was going to ship down like popcorn to just microwave, but All Star Movies does not have a microwave in the cafe area. =( I didn't know if anyone else shipped down other things besides food, and what would be best to do.

I ship down cereal, snacks that you can bring with you in a fanny pack (cereal bars, fruit roll ups, ect.), disposable ponchos, health & beauty items (hair gel, spray, shampoo, ect) and anything else that I won't be bringing back with me. I may even ship down an extra bag for all the souveniers my son will be buying with his disney dollars. Last time we went I also shipped diapers and baby food.

I ship down my coffeemaker as POP doesn't have any. I also ship umbrellas/rain ponchos, extra shoes, snacks (not anything breakable),and sometimes heavier items so I don't have to pack them and lug them through the airport. I also ship some ziploc bags so I have spares and hangers. I cna't think of anything else but I think it is so much easier to have the stuff shipped ahead of time.

I ship down diapers, disposable bibs/sippy cups, snacks for DS and us, breakfast stuff for all of us, paper plates/bowls/cups, plastic silverware (and probably a paring knife for cutting apples and such), a roll of paper towels (to wash and dry sippy cups on), laundry detergent, dish soap, liquid toiletries, ponchos, salt/pepper/sugar, Lysol disinfecting wipes (to wipe down the phone/remote/bathroom), tons of handwipes, diaper wipes, ziploc bags, Tide to Go pen, juice boxes (triple bagged), little toys and glow sticks that I've been picking up for months to keep DS busy in line and swim diapers. I'm sure I'll end up sticking other things in there just so we don't have to carry it all plus DS and DS's car seat through the airport

Breakfast foods, snacks, gum, candy in addition to any small things that I thought I would forgot to pack.

Also, since I went around Christmas. I shipped down a few small presents and ornaments.

Yes, ship to your resort, with your name and check in date on the top where they can see it. We shipped it with enough time to get there and be there one day before we get there. (Different areas have different ship times, so check with your shipping provider) We ship via UPS so we can track it and make sure it arrived safely.

I don't want to be dense but what do you do with the nonconsumable items you have sent such as the coffee pot? Do you ship it back to yourself or leave it in the room? Just curious.

so can anyone give me a ball park figure for shipping stuff ahead? I know it is based on weight and size but what do you usually pay say for consumables like soda, snacks, paper goods, maybe diapers?

I shipped a 24 pack of water, pack of 48 diapers, pack of baby wiped, and a box of juice boxes. It cost me $43 but the box was 47 pounds. If I would have had it in my suitcase it would have cost me much more.

Has anyone used this service for WDW? I may be traveling alone with three little kids and I can't stop to buy water and juice boxes. I dont' want to use the other grocery delivery services because of the $50 or $40 min. purchase and $10 delivery fee. I only need a few things and am planning on packing cereal and snacks. I just didn't know what to do about the liquids.

i always ship ahead a small box with our toiletries, using FedEx - less to worry about packing in the luggage

Plan on shipping snax such as chips, fruities, nuts ,gum, crackers and cheeseetc, shampoo, sunscreen, cereal. drink mix, honey buns. I plan on using post office with confirmation of receipt. Have shipped large packages before to other places with no problem. Want it arrive a couple of days ahead so have time for return receipt to arrive.

Someone on another forum uses Staples.com to ship down water. If you join thier free club then you get free shipping. I have not tried it myself yet but plan to on our next trip

I was planning on orderind water thru staples ,but as we will each be buting refillable mugs I plan on filling up at the fountin drinks before heading to park and taking sinle serve koolaid into park for later in day.

a great idea for the water is to get those like little lemonade or ice tea packages that you can pour right into the water bottle. i forgot who makes them but you can probably find them in any grocery store. they are sooo handy when you're sick of drinking water, & you dont have to pay extra =) loveee saving money!!!! =) :cool1:
