What to serve with sausage balls..

They are in between a meat and a bread, so you wouldn't serve them with meat, or on bread, unless maybe a fat sandwich.

I've made them as an appetizer, but not a main dish. Everyone in my family likes them. They are very filling. I think they would be good as a breakfast item or an appetizer.

I'm southern, so to me, sausage balls, (that was for you Minnie Mum!) are something you take to a covered dish at church or eat at family get togethers, lol. But, they are tasty little boogers, so if I was going to make them for company, I'd do breakfast-for-dinner and make scrambled eggs or frittatas to go with them and add a big bowl of mixed berries or other cut up fruit. I wouldn't add any bread or anything like that because sausage balls are basically fat-soaked, cheesy, sausagey, ball shaped bisquick drop biscuits. And maybe fry some bacon. I mean, after all, bacon goes with everything! And make sure you use Jimmy Dean hot sausage... they are way better with some kick to them.

Exactly! Perfect description.
