My mom is deciding tonight between CSR and WL. I already gave her alist of which areas to request at CSR but I haven't found the same information for WL. Right now, if she picks WL, we'll be booking at least 3 standard rooms. We may be able to upgrade to woods view when codes come out in the winter, but for now we need to find out the best spot for standard rooms. The most important thing to us is to be close to the transportation. A blacony would be nice, view isn't as important but wouldn't hurt. Any advice from all you WL lovers?

Thank you!!

Anyone? My mom is going to book her reservations tonight so I want to make sure she has all the info she needs. Thanks!!

Somewhere in the official Wilderness Lodge thread, there is a map of the Wilderness Lodge that actually shows the room numbers and locations. It is somewhere around the last few pages. Maybe the same person that posted it in those threads will post it here for you.

Here is the map mentioned above:

As far as room requests, I have some tips. We stayed at WL in July, and had originally booked a standard view. All standard view rooms are either lobby rooms with views of the roof peaks (4th floor), or rooms on the North Wing with views of the service area (floors 2 and up). When we made our initial reservation, the only request we made was that our room be on a higher floor. When we arrived, I asked upon check-in if their were any complimentary upgrades available during our stay. The cast member responded yes, and that he would comply with our high floor request by placing us on 7th floor Concierge. Of course, this won't happen every time, but it's always good to ask.

When requesting, keep in mind that it is much better to ask for general areas as opposed to specific room numbers. Higher floors are definitely better because, when you are on the North Wing, it is much better to have a 6th floor room overlooking the service area than a 2nd floor room overlooking the service area, for obvious reasons. Also, those higher North Wing rooms may also provide a limited view of "Wishes."

Best of luck!

Sounds good. Just one more thing: I've heard that the 4th floor lobby rooms are also nice, but that they may pick up some of the noise from the lobby.

Glad I could help!
