What to pack?

We are arriving in early December and are unsure about what clothes to pack. The high will be 70-76 with a low of about 50. Is it still comfortable wearing jeans/pants during the day or should we pack shorts? Would love to hear about your experience. Thanks!

We were there a week and a half ago...highs in the 70's. Myself, mom and son wore jeans the whole time. When it was lower 70 for highs, we wore long sleeved t-shirts under sweatshirts. On our last day I think the high was 79 and I layered a short sleeve t-shirt under a sweatshirt, still with jeans. I only got too warm about twice, when in the direct sun. There's a lot of shade around the parks, and if there's any breeze it can be slightly chilly waiting in lines. At night we needed jackets for parades and fireworks.

I suppose it depends on what climate you're used to. I'm comfortable in jeans and short sleeves between 70's to mid 80's. It tends to get really chilly at night in my opinion, so we usually pack a sweatshirt for everyone when the daytime temps are in the 70s.

I'm from Canada and am used to the cold. When we were there last week I wore shorts once, regretted it and only wore jeans and leggings the rest of the trip. During the day I wore a short sleeved shirt and always brought a sweater. In the evenings we always had a warm sweater on with a long sleeved shirt underneath.

Unless it's very cold where you are it's unlikely you'll need shorts.

Well we're from SoCal (San Diego) and just got back from 3 days and were in shorts/skirts every day. I was in shorts and a tank top all day yesterday, the chilliest day (60's, did have long sleeve shirt and beanie and scarf in backpack which were used in the evening.) Personnally I would pack it all (I did) - better safe than sorry :)

I was going to ask the same thing. i'm from phx and so tired of the heat. I do think most the 70s are still chilly to me so i'm packing pants i may pack a few shorts just in case but not to sure I will ever unpack them.

I have been trying to figure out the exact same thing. I am leaning towards packing a little of everything, hoping to get away with jeans and a tshirt during the day and a hoody at night.

We were there last week and the highs were in the 80's most days and into the 60's at night. WE were glad we had packed shorts for the daytime, but we are from near Buffalo, NY and are used to the cold. At night we wore pants (no jeans) and a zip front hoodie, but at times that was too hot for us. We thought the sun was very intense. The winds picked up towards the end of the week and the fireworks were cancelled one night.

Layers are your best friend! I wore activewear pants and cardigans over tank tops in Jan/Feb. Bring a zip hoodie or jacket as opposed to a pullover because sometimes just opening the zipper will cool you down to a comfortable temperature if you're getting a little too warm.

Jean & Tee's with Sweatshirt & Jacket for the evening. With the shorter days, the "warm" periods are not very long.

That said it was nearly 30 degrees warmer at Disneyland this morning at 10am (low 30s vs low 60s).
