I really don't know where to put this so it probably will get moved but here goes. :confused3 I am going to Disney in December. I have been in May but the packing I am sure will be different. I know that there are a lot of people who have traveled to Disney all times of the year so maybe some one can help me with my packing problem. What kind of clothes should I pack for December. Are capris okay to take? Will the weather be warm cold wet or dry? Do I need jeans which I probably will be wearing as I am coming from New England and a sweater will also be my friend. Any help will be a great welcome. Thank you all......

I will preface my response with this: I am always cold! :cold: Now, we typically visit WDW in the summer, but have been there once in late November/Early December. I packed capris, pants and sweaters. Several days it get get warm (70??) but imo, it was a little chilly. I am sure there were people with shorts on, but not me. ;) Of course the weather channel and weather.com will help out with the week's temps as you get closer to your visit.

When we went in December, I did wear jeans and a t-shirt the first day, but I probably would have been ok in shorts too. Most of the other days, we wore shorts and t-shirts. The kids always started out in wind pants and a wind breaker and wore shorts and t-shirts underneath. I was prepared with hats and mittens, because people said it can get cold, but we didn't need them on that trip. We did go swimming every day there though. It is still warmer than New England.

Short answer to your questions: YES

December can be a very mixed bag. We were there last December it was in the 80's when we arrived, a couple days later the lows were in the upper 30's with highs in the 50's by the end of the week it was 80 again. We wore shorts, jeans with sweatshirts with windbreakers & mittens, shorts and bathing suits. :faint:

Hopefully it will be warm while we are there. We are going the first week of December.

I've been cold there in December and even in October! I find nighttime to be chilly, so I always pack layers (after 10 years of living in Northern Vermont, I've FINALLY perfected this skill). I'll be there the last week in November, and I'll probably only bring a few pairs of shorts and capris, then jeans. Although I'd certainly check The Weather Channel. I'm not thrilled to have to pay extra for checked baggage with the airlines, so I'm working on creative ways to pack as lightly as possible for all kinds of weather.
