What to order/not order at 50's PT?

The fried chicken was very good(not the best I've ever eaten by any means though). dw had the pot roast and says it was really good. dd ate the chicken strips(imagine that) and liked them just fine. my green beans were a little on the waxy side, but not too bad. dw and dd enjoyed the antics of the waiter; I could take it or leave it. I don't think we necessarily had the best one(ok waiter, just not very funny).

We go every trip. It is always one of our favorite experiences...and that is aside from what we eat. First time we ate the waiter stole my 10 month old daughter and hooked her up with a one year old a few tables over. Everytime we go the waiter or waitress calls my husband " Skippy". Not sure why but now it has become a joke with us and we die laughing the first time they do.
The food has always been good...kinda like exceptional Cracker Barrel food. The desserts though....you have to get the smores! YUMMY! It was big enough for the table to share...but I did not!
It's a lot of fun and we would not miss it for anything.

I love 50'sPT and would never compare the food here to a "school cafeteria." Sure, it's definitely not gourmet food, but definitely just like good, home cooking.

I've had the Pot Roast twice and loved it both times. DW likes the meatloaf too, but thought the roast was better.

And I second the vote for the PB&J shake. Best milkshake I have ever had. DELICIOUS!!!

Wish my school had served food like 50's Primetime... I might not have sacrificed it to the garbage can, if they had!!!!;)
