What to get...

...for the "almost" 13 year old? Thought this would be the board to ask. I have no idea what to get my daughter this year and thought you guys could help. She is not very "girly" although she enjoys the typical manicure/pedicure treatment. And she did mention wanting the Wii. Other than that, I am finding this year difficult. Would love your help!!!!!!

I like the idea of a Wii, but...with spending so much on the unit and accessories, I am stuck for a few smaller, under the tree, things that won't bankrupt me!

What about one of those little gift sets that come with accessories for manicures/pedicures? I think they include nail polish, clippers, the plastic things to put around your toes to not mess up. They probably sell them at Wal-Mart or Target...

Does she like fantasy games? I remember for my 14th birthday my parents got me World of Warcraft and BC (the expansion) with I think 5 months of gametime and I'd have to say it was the best present ever.

look for wii "bundles" they usually come with accessories, and you get several "smaller" gifts to go with it, that way. i've heard that aldi's has a bundle for 270 that comes with three games, a nunchuck and a golf club attachment. walmart also has some wii games for very cheap. and the game "wii play" comes with a free extra wiimote.

if you get her a wii, you could just get her a bunch of accessories with it.

also, the "wii points" cards at walmart are used to download games online, you can get those for 20.00 each. and you can download several games for the 20.00.

You can even get old games from old gaming systems with Wii points like the Super Nintendo, and I think there is a few from the Nintendo 64.

maybe you could get her some like itunes gift card (if she has a ipod) or maybe some clothes, board games, nail polish, movies, tickets to a movie that she wants to see....i don't know or maybe stuff for when you go to Disney land ( i saw on your time line) i don't know though. i'm 13 and i would love it if my mom gave those things to me.

well im 13 and im asking for a ipod nano, a beanbag, and a coach purse, uggs, 7 for all mankind jeans, quitar, and nail polish but that probably wont help you much sense you said shes not much of a girly girl.

If she likes like the manicure stuff you could see if some local nails salon has gift cards and then she could go there and get her nails professionally done.

Hi Kool Kat, No my daughter is not much of a girly girl but some of what you mentioned I am sure she would love. She is into vampire type books so maybe the Twilight series would be a good choice of books for her. I also think I will get a gift card for the local nail salon to tuck in her stocking.

I love receiving feedback from girls my daughters age. I know I can't go wrong!
