We will be at POFQ the end of September and I am already planning the next trip. We are looking at the first week of February. We have never been in February...Any info on weather and crowds would be much appreciated.

I am also interested to know if we can expect a discount of any kind....room or free dining...at this point I would even take one of those silly gift card promos they had a couple of years ago....

My husband and I took our 3 y/o GS down there this past Feb 4th-11th. I know the weather can vary alot at that time of the year, but it was warm and sunny the whole week were there. We wore shorts all week and swam every day. Even the nights were comfortable. We stayed at POFQ, which was perfect with a toddler. We were in a first floor room in Buidling 3, facing the couryard, but no room would have been very far from the main building and bus stop.

I used an AP discount, but think there were some other discounts offered at that time too. Parks were not crowded.

It was funny. My D-I-L had looked at accuweather.com and knew it was supposed to be warm that week, so had not packed any kind of jacket for my GS. He wore jeans and a tee down there, but all she packed were just shorts and t shirts. When we spoke to them the night before we left, she told me a cold front had blown in, here in Texas, so told me to let him rewear the jeans he had worn down there and to please buy him a hoodie for the trip home. That next night when we arrived at DFW, he hugged his parents and was chattering nonstop about the trip as we walked out of the airport. Just as we started to walk out the doors to go outside to the parking garage, he came to a sudden stop, stopped talking, and actually turned around and ran back inside. We had to chase him down. When we asked what he was doing, he said "it's too cold here, I'm going back to Disney World where it's warm and I can go swimming". I told him we had just gotten back from Disney World and didn't he want to spend some time with his parents. He said "I've seen them, now I'm ready to go back. It's too cold." Actually it wasn't even that cold. My husband was wearing shorts and a tee and I was wearing thin kacki pants and a tee, but compared to WDW it was.:rotfl:

February is my favorite time to go. The weather is super comfortable, and you basically walk onto all the rides with no wait. We've gone 3 times in February, and they're the most stress-free vacations.
