What to expect from Airport to Resort

Our flight would likely land late morning / early afternoon, and we would have a carry-on bag for the day-of festivities, which would likely only be Disney Springs - no parks.

And the fact that we would be going end of January (2018), would that speed the process up with possibly less crowds?

Might actually slow it down a little. They don't necessarily wait for buses to fill completely, but the do wait on them to fill some. Lower crowds can mean longer time to fill buses.

Hmm, never thought of that one. Oh well. I still have lots of time over analyze this part of the planning (as my DH would tell me) LOL

Logistically, how long does it take to pick up your luggage at MCO then take it on the ME?

I has been 10+ years since we've been at MCO, but I remember having to take a monorail to the baggage pick up(?)

If you're not arriving close to or after 10 PM I would not recommend picking up your own luggage. This past December was the first (and I hope only) time we've had to grab our own bags and I would not recommend it. I've flown into MCO around 15 times and can get to ME with "my eyes closed" but DH and I DID get "turned around" having to detour to baggage claim. Plus the fact it was after 10 PM, we were tired and just wanted to get on the ME...not exactly the arrival we planned. We only delayed ourselves between 10-15 minutes (plus about 15 minutes waiting for our bags) "wondering" in the wrong direction  but "lugging" that luggage all over the airport wasn't fun. Granted, you do have to wait for your luggage to be delivered but put essentials in your carry on and take advantage of that WONDERFUL "extra perk" Disney offers. IMO the ME is one of the BEST things Disney offers! :tink:

Agree... the 2 times we've arrived in the evening I've opted to retrieve my own bags, and it is not fun.
