What to expect for DVC yearly costs?

Hi! I’m excited to be taking over a family members DVC contract..besides the annual maintenance fee, will there be any other costs to incur?

There always exist some risk to get a special assessment due to damage caused by a major natural disaster, generally to cover any deductible in the insurance, although even it may just be paid as part of annual dues over time. Thus far that problem has been limited to Vero Beach and Hilton Head which are at significant risk for damage due to hurricanes and insurance for hurricanes necessarily includes a deductible. That has not happened for any WDW resorts.
