I found this preview of paint the night for DL on youtube, done just the other night. I am really looking forward to this parade! When I first saw it come out at HKDL I really wanted to go back there and visit again but now it is coming to DL for the Anniversary, it has just made my upcoming trip even more exciting

I have to agree, the red in the outfits is strange. I really expected silver with the blue. The red just pulls one out of the "feel" expected of the Diamond Celebration.

So if I read the OP correctly Diamond celebration is not a 1 day thing of new shows its going to lead throughout the month of June and July is that correct? Just want to make sure before telling the kidos they are going to disney during a special time i have my facts right. We are going three days between June 13th and 23rd.

The Diamond Celebration is going to be a months long event to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Disneyland. It will certainly last through the rest of year and most likely into 2016. There will likely be some short-duration events during the celebration, but the overall celebration will last for a while. At this moment no official end date has been announced, but my guess is the new parade, fireworks, and WoC will last for several years. Other things, like Diamond Edition of Mad T Party may only last through the actual celebration. There should be plenty of things happening in June!

Does anyone have knowledge or a good guess of what direction in the park "Paint the Night" will come and go?

Most parades start at IaSW and end on Main Street for the first presentation. If there is a second presentation, the parade will start on Main Street and end at IaSW. So far, I don't think they've announced the parade direction, so I'm inclined to think it'll follow the same pattern.

Just listened to the podcast, and they mentioned that Soundsational will remain the parade during the day, and then Paint the Night will be the nighttime parade. I know that was speculated before, but it sounds like that was confirmed.

Yup, Soundsational and Paint the Night are both listed on the daily schedules that were posted on the Disneyland.com calendar for May 23rd and beyond. The Disneyland Calendar on the Australian version of the website has the schedule for the 22nd, which does not include Soundsational.

I am hoping there will be new gifts you can order to be delivered to your room that are diamond themed... We've done something almost every trip for dd... And the selections were getting a little tired. Our Christmas trip they made a specialty basket for us. Would love to get a paint the night something or other... And I dunno, other new fun stuff!

So for the Mad T Party, Disney has it listed as 6pm-6am, but Show times are 6, 7, 8, and 9pm. Which is it? I really want to go to the Mad T Party, but we'll be in DL during that time since we have reservations at Blue Bayou at 6:50pm and are staying in DL until 11pm.

It would not surprise me if the entertainment schedule continues to be revised. Last year Mad T was from 9 PM to 5 AM and the band performed at 10, 11, 12 and 1 AM.

EEK. I think the most disappointing thing is the one showing of WOC:Celebrate Daily at 9:00PM. I was hoping for at least two during the summer months.

Didn't even cross my mind, but yeah! The 28th of May isn't a Grad Night, and they have two showings - one at 9:00 and another at 10:15.
