What to eat at Le Cellier?

I had the mushroom filet and it was great. My wife had a burger and fries, and I have to say, it was one heck of a good burger. Would definitely recommend.

The cheese soup was great, but we weren't keen on the desserts we had (I think the chocolate moose and smores?)

Seriously the soup, bread sticks and creme brulee is a filling meal in itself and well worht the hassle of getting an ADR.

Autumn

We'll be going in September and I don't think any of us are getting an entree. I'll be having the soup, spicy chicken sausage with polenta, and maple creme brulee. DH is talking the soup, poutine, and dessert. And our other friend is intrigued by a bunch of the apps.

The NY Strip that I got there in December was the best ever. It was better than the Ribeye that we got at Yatchsman, and I usually prefer Ribeye.

If you look on allearsnet they have a menu and they now have scallops it says yay!

Another vote for the mushroom filet with mushroom risotto! Yum!!!!! Of course we love the cheddar cheese soup and fight over the pretzel breadsticks! Goes great with a nice cold Moosehead!

I loved the filet and risotto, but had some of DH's potatoes and they were to die for.

Everyone adored the pretzel breadsticks, but I was not crazy about the cheese soup, though I was sooooo looking forward to it after reading the "hype".

The chocolate "moose" was a real hit with us. We liked it! :woohoo:

One thing I do have to say, too, is that the atmosphere is very nice. It is so COOL in there. Just love coming into the cool of Canada after being OUT THERE IN FLORIDA.

Mushroom filet was absolutely perfect, substituted cream cheese mashed potatoes for the risotto and was really happy I did. Cheddar cheese soup was wonderful (just get a cup or you will be too full for dinner), Took the chocolate whiskey cake back to our room-wonderful snack :yay:

Wish I was eating there now:sad1:

My DH and I order the same thing each time (been there twice)..we get the cheese soup with pretzel bread (yummy especially if you dip the bread into the soup :lovestruc), then we get the filet with mushroom risotto :cloud9:, then for dessert I get the chocolate mousse while DH sticks with his beer :goodvibes. I know you mentioned that your DW is not a fan of steak, but on our trip last week my DMIL had the shredded beef sandwich with cheese and thought it was wonderful while my DFIL had the salmon two ways and he loved it.

The side of macaroni and cheese is really good and it is huge. Dh, DD, and I all shared it and there was plenty left over.

Mushroom filet with the risotto. I also love the cream cheese mashed potatoes so I add that as well. :P
