what to do?

We are booked (just DH and myself) in a cat. 11. I am very happy with that cabin but now that cat. is only sold on GTY status. We booked on points, can I call DCL and say we'd gladly take an upgrade if they need our cabin? You know, just a little bug in the ear type of thing. I'm sure it wouldn't help and I really am happy in my little space but.......... what should I do?

upgrades on Disney made no rhyme or reason, you can call but I doubt it will matter, if they want your cabin they will offer you an upgrade if they don't they won't it's that simple.
