What time do they let people off the ship when the cruise is over? I have the late meal seating times. I was thinking about taking a flight that leaves MCO around 5:00 pm, what could I do in the meantime.

Also would I have a hard time getting on and off the ship if I do not have a passport? What documentation would my kids, hubby and I need? Is it better to have a passport? Thanks.

They opened the door for disembarking about 7:30am. If you have sit down breakfast that would be about the time late diners are allowedin the dining room. However, the buffet is open on deck 9.

If you have a car you can always go to Downtown Disney or the outlet malls to kill time before heading to the airport for your 5 pm flight.

I live on the Canadian border and prior to 9/11 we never needed anything but a drivers license to go back and forth (if that). Post 9/11 people are carrying birth certificates and passports. If I didn't already have a passport I would have gotten one for convenience. It is the ulitimate ID now. DCL does not require it, a certified birth certificate is enough. Passports can take up to 6 weeks to arrive after the application is submitted and they are not free. They can be expidited for additional charges. If you are interested contact your local post office for specific time needed and costs.
