Okay-- its been months since my wedding and im trying to think practically here. I have a set of mickey & minnie wedding ears and I have NO IDEA what to do with them. My time to wear them has come and gone-- do I put them on display? I mean-- they are ears? Or do I put them in a box in storage somewhere?

What have you all done with yours?

Yeah thats where they are now--- see im doing away with the Mickey Mouse room-- and if anyone has tried putting these somewhere-- they do take up quite a bit of room, especially the mens hat. So im trying to decide whether to leave them there or not considering that they are just hats.:confused3

I was planning on takign my bridal ears and putting them in a shadow box frame that could hang on the wall along with a few other things- my garter, handkershirf, etc. Then I was going to take DH's and cut it so it would fit in another frame just like the one for my ears and put some of his things in it! I figure I can always buy him another hat since we live so close. I actually wore the groom's hat more then he did- he said it didn't fit right!:sad2:

I thought this would be a nice way to preserve the ears. Hope this helps!

Maggie- I am sorry I haven't responded to your PM- I wll definitely do it soon. Can't believe I did that! So sorry, very embarrased!

maggie, our guest bedroom had some stuffed animals on it, etc. kind of our "fun" room and i stuck my ears on one of my stuffed animals hehe.:goodvibes

thanks for the ideas everyone-- keep them coming-- I just cant decide what to do and Id hate to put them in a box and stick them downstairs.

Steph-- dont worry about it, take your time:goodvibes

If you dont mind parting with it, you could........

you could pass it down to the next bride you know, for good luck;)

If your still attached to them & have room, I put some of my Dis wedding stuff in my curio w/my snowglobes.

I know how stuff can add up....I cleaned out about 5 storage buckets of disney items & donated it to my DDs school. Shes in K & the teacher was SO grateful. He uses them as rewards in class.

Good luck, I hope you figure something out:hippie:

I actually have DH and I's ears on top of our cabinets in the kitchen. They look so cute up there!

That's cute, I did something similar, I have a stuffed Eeyore from a previous trip and he's currently wearing the bridal ears! I just put them there because I couldn't think of anything else but he's been wearing them ever since!

If you plan never to place them atop your head again, if you can stand the thought of it. You could always get crafty with some scissors and a hot glue gun and make something wonderful of them that you can display. I am not crafty by any means....so exactly what one could make of ears is really beyond me.

Depends how sentimental you are, but you could put them away for a daughter's hope chest.....not rushing you guys or anything.

Or, since they are relatively inexpensive, pack them away until the above mentioned daughter arrives. By the time she's 2 she'd love to dress up as a Disney bride like mommy. :cutie:

You guys are so smart and creative!! I appreciate all of this help-- i really do. I hate to throw them in a box only to collect dust (I have a lot of stuff doing that right now!). All ideas are welcome and I think saving it for my future DD/DS is such a cute idea!

Mine hang over my big mirror in my bedroom, DH's are in our home office.

Why not start a bride and groom trade? Send them to others brides to enjoy...or is this a gross or not logical thought???
