What to do with your leftover credits...

Well, let me try to use my scintillant brain to explain.

My point is that ever since the recent version of the brochure with the FAQ page came out, some people have been waving it like the bible to prove their point that Disney does not want people to take advantage of this known (and often CM-encouraged) loophole in the dining plan.

And now Disney removed it. So while the debate will undoubtedly continue, stating that Disney spells the "rule" out clearly in their brochure is false information.

Huh? What caps? :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

You can refer to post #33 and you'll understand. I may have alot of 'posts' since starting less than 1 month ago  and I was unaware that using capitals to stress a word would be construed as 'yelling' at someone. I do feel badly as I never meant it to come off like that but I am learning :teacher: ...yes? :confused3

This certainly does throw fuel on the fire of that debate. For what its worth I heard that Elvis was spotted at a 7-11 with the missing FAQ somewhere in Mississippi. :rotfl2:

OIC now. Don't feel bad, I sometime use caps to add emphasis to a few words here and there too. My scintilla of brain cannot perform html functions. Sometimes I use an asterisk on both sides of a word as an alternative, as in:

This sure is a *dumb* thing to worry about! :rotfl:

Which people?? :rolleyes1
From what I understand it's not necessary on all days that end with a "Y" :lmao:
There IS a box of cereal on the counter...does that count?? :teeth:

Or on a **special** night there's always the popcorn::

Plus...there is always good ol' fashioned 'Cyber Dining'

Actually when you arrive, the CM at check in goes over the no kids for adults rule and gives a printed brochure that has that information on it--in other words the page missing from the website is still on the "new brochure", I listened patiently, though I only had adults on the plan--DD does look young and she is just 10 so the CM may have thought she was a child. I'm waiting for the free dining to begin, because if there are changes that is where they will begin most likely--it will be a way to train the CM's since nearly everyone will be using the plan.

Actually we know. The five page brochure is the brochure that's being given to guests when they check in. The TA site still has the 5 page brochure. The 4 page brochure on the website isn't even the version that was up prior to the 5 page brochure. The snack language changed. Guests should make their plans without planning on using "child" credits for adult meals.

That said I'm not sure why everyone is attacking the OP, although the poster set themself up. The poster also had a 9 year old on the plan. It sounds like most of the unused TS credits from the 3 year old went to buying an extra meal (and signature credits) for the 9 year old. The 3 year old had 5 TS credits, 2 went for the Lua, 1 went for the extra credit for the 9 year old and one went for the extra meal for the 9 year old.

I agree; we need to give people the correct info.

The correct info is that Disney has removed this 5th page, the FAQ page, from their online Dining Plan brochure. So posting a cut and paste or an old download of the now-gone page means very little. I don't know why some people keep insisting that the info on this page is Disney gospel when the page has been removed by Disney.

Computer glitch? Maybe. Change in policy? Who knows? Nobody but Disney. So please stop preaching as fact what isn't.

My apologies to the OP.
I was just trying to clarify that children's credits should not be used for adult meals.
I misunderstood your post I am truly sorry. :guilty:

is this a joke ?? if not you might wanna don the flame suit as your 3 year old dhouls have had his own tickets and plan anyway

as for your actual question if we have left over CS its a nice to suprise a family behind you by offering to pay for their meals gives them alittle magic
My son turned 3 on the day before we left, so technically, under Disney's rules, I didn't have to pay for him. So, before you go throwing flame suits, get all your information straight!

And as far as paying it forward, we encounter so many rude people on this trip, I wouldn't dare take a chance of giving someone something they didn't deserve. And while all of you are giving your credits to other people, I am assuming you give them your key to the world. And, when you do that, you are also giving them all of your personal information, including your credit card number to do with what they please. Not smart regardless of how NICE you think you are being.

PS: You are not God are you?

All of you Holier than Thou people should all look in the mirror before you go casting and throwing stones. This entire webiste and many others like Mousesavers, etc. are designed to screw Disney. We paid full price for our room at the Polynesian unlike some of you who weasel out every discount you can find. We didn't ask for free upgrades, we didn't ask for our money back when our meals were disgusting. We never asked for any special privileges like so many of you people on this board. We never abused this system. Our son, who by the way was perfectly nourished on this trip, missed two dinners and my DBIL paid OOP for one of my families meals at the tune of $253. That freed up enough credits for our 4 TS leftovers. The way I chose to use my CS credits is my business. DH and I shared at every CS meal (which was less than one a day) because we were not hungry. We didn't starve ourselves to screw Disney. We paid for and received exactly what we were entitled to.

To all of you who were intelligent enough to read my post and understand it correctly, thank you! :sunny: It is nice to know that there are still people out there that read and think before they fire away on their keyboard.

Next time, before jumping to your own conclusions, PM the poster if you have a problem. And, if you don't like the way Disney handles their DDP, call them and complain. :furious:

I just climbed Mt everest in the AK to consult with the Disney Dali Lama. He told me that the ONLY time it is exceptable to use a kid's credit for an adult is when you are pool hopping with your old refillable mug while wearing those infernal "heelies" shoes. I hope this clarifies ALL the questions :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Now see I was so with you up until this point. I even agreed with your anger at being fussed at so. another post went up recently that i replied to begging that we not let this happen to it. BUT BUT BUT.....your entire post was to make how you used your credits our business. Just the fact that you posted it but also in the fact that it was the POINT of the post.

Sorry I had mixed up posts but this still applies 10x over. Lesson for all: when you post anything on a public forum you are making everything you have said any readers business....otherwise why post it.

Wrong, wrong, and wrong.

I want to clarify that my DS turned 3 the day before we left WDW. According to Disney, I did not have to pay for him at all but as as HONEST person, I did. We did not use Child credits to pay for Adult meals. My intent to this post was to inform people of how we used our leftover credits. I didn't want it to be a complete trip report. I left out the part of our trip where my DBIL paid OOP for dinner at Teppanyaki to the tune of $253. That gave us 2C and 2A credits that we didn't use. Our extra's came from that. Looking back at my receipts, DS got TS meals at every dinner except the one he slept through--why would I order a meal that wouldn't be eaten? For all of you who think that he starved, later that night, he ate chicken fingers and fries. I didn't want to turn this into a trip report therefore I left out what has now turned out to be very important details. In no way whatsoever, did we screw Disney out of credits or use child's for adult's. Disney doesn't differentiate how the credits are used, so technically, we could have ordered adult CS meals everytime BUT WE DIDN'T UNLIKE MANY, MANY PEOPLE WE ENCOUNTERED. We spent $5000 on this trip including accomodations, DDP, tickets, and incidentals. So I feel like Disney made plenty off of us. We used our DDP the way it suited our family and if you don't like it, too bad. I repeat, WE DID NOT SCREW DISNEY OR USE CHILD CREDITS FOR ADULT MEALS.

As far as the snacks, we got what Disney included as snacks. We paid for the Doritoes with CASH and then the CM said "wait, you may can get this as a snack." She checked, and we did. We only took what Disney included.

I hope this settles some of your stomachs but in all honesty, I am not too concerned, because there is not a single person on this board who hasn't thought of, or figured out a way to save a buck on a Disney trip. After all, isn't that what site like this and MOusesavers, etc. are all about--saving money? Anyway, I don't know any of you personally and hopefully never will, but I don't want to be misunderstood. If you are still having problems with the way we used our DDP's please feel free to PM me and I will go into much greater detail! :)

You are right--I said that out of shear anger. I left a lot of important information out of my original post that could have kept all of this nonsense and anger out of the equation. I have since replied to and edited into my original post, the rest of the story. Hopefully people will understand now, that we did not use child credits for adult credits, etc.
