not sure where to ask this question, but...If we are staying at a disney resort for two nights during a time offering FD, we have to buy park tickets, right? but we are not planning to go to the parks, just to MVMCP. so can we hold on to the parks tickets and use them for another trip if we haven't used them at all? Does that make sense? otherwise it is a waste for us to get the tickets just for FD... Just wondering if anyone has come across this situation before. thanks

If I'm not mistaken you need at least on of the tickets to get into MK for the MVMCP

i don't think i can use one of them for the party. i have to buy different tickets. they are cheaper than park passes.

You don't use a park ticket for MVMCP. It is a special ticketed event. You can get into MK at 4PM with a party ticket.

Yes, you can use them for a future trip. After you are done with your dining credits, go to guest relations and ask them to take the tickets off your key card. This way you can have paper tickets.

To get the FD you need to buy park tickets(making a package). You can save the completely unused tickets for a later time. If you buy (for example) 4 day tickets and use 1 day-the tickets expire after 14 days. if you buy 2 days tickets (usual minimum) and don't use them they don't expire.

That's what i was hoping. another question then to continue with this one...are these tickets still tied to each of our names on the reservation? or can i use two for one child and two for another on a future visit? we already have non expiry passes for both adults.

Tickets are not tied to an individual until used. Unused tickets can be used by anybody.

Are you only staying for two nights? I may be wrong, but to get FD I believe you have to stay 5 nights. Can anyone confirm this?

No,,not 5 nights. But I believe the minimum is 3 nights + 2 day park ticket for free dining.

That's too bad. I will have to try AAA discount on room only and see what they have to offer. I knew they always have those minimums in their ads, but i thought it would take whatever time frame you put in. it doesn't change my plans, but thanks for pointing that out, so now i know.:)
