I usually pull out the electric skillet and cook my pork chops in it. Then about 15 to 20 minutes before they are done I dump ALOT of kraut on them and let it cook down some. It tastes heavenly. The only thing that I season the pork chops with prior to the kraut is salt and pepper.
I do the samething but add three thinly sliced golden apples. It will give it a sweet taste the kids would like...this is the only way I will eat pork chops.
I also do a similar dish...pork chops any kind (bone-in boneless, thick thin)
Brown on both sides in a little olive oil
Add garlic, onion, sourkraut, apple juice, black pepper, chicken or beef broth and let simmer for about 2 hours.
