Hi All-

We're staying at BCV for the 1st time in December.
Tiffany Towncar picks us up at MCO at 10:30am.
We want to use the 20 minute shoopping stop to pick up perishable items for the fridge (milk,eggs.bacon,etc.) If we can't get into our 1BR
at check-in, is there someplace we can store the perishables until we can put them in the room fridge?

I was told that the bellman should put your perishables in the refrigerator for you.

Bell Services will put them into cold storage for you. Just stay with the cold stuff until they put it away for you. Make sure it is done before you leave. There have been recent reports on these boards of them not putting things into cold storage that were supposed to be.

Have fun.

Cold storage works perfectly well for your perishables, and the bell desk will, of course, also hang onto the rest of your luggage until your room is ready. Do be sure to take valuables with you, since money or jewelry in suitcases can disappear even at the finest resorts.

It's a good idea to separate your perishables from other items - i.e., put them in separate bags. I agree about standing with your things until they are put away and reminding the CM that you need certain bags stored in the refrigerator.

Best wishes -

I never knew they would do that! I learn something new here every day!!

We stopped at Publix with Tiffany's. We put the cold things in a brown paper bag and the room temp items in plastic bags. Then in a red highlighter I wrote on the brown paper bag in large letters "Refridgerate". And they did. I saved the bag and used it on the way home to keep things cool and they kept it in the fridge for us.

This was a great hint someome gave to me on the boards so I am just passing it along.

Have fun!

Wow! I didn't know this, either!

And we've always waited to shop until we were in our room.

And with the link someone gave for the shopping service--www.wegoshop.com I may never spend precious vacation time at Wal-Mart again!!!!

i LOVE the DIS!!!!

It is amazing how much you can learn here isn't it? Now you can go swimming (I read your other post too Jesse) while your groceries are put in cold storage.;)

This is a great place to learn the ins and outs of DVC.

LOL!! Maybe I'll pool hop while the groceries are stored :)

When we went to OKW in February, we stopped, using Tiffany Towncar, and bought a cartful of groceries. When we checked in, our room wasn't ready so our perishibles were put in the refrigerated area. Everything was cold when they were brought to the room.
Midtrip, we moved to BWV, we left the luggage with Bellservices and took a large travel bag with us on the bus to MGM and walked over to BWV and checked the bag to be put in the refrigerated area. Very easy!
