I'm the only one in my party who actually enjoys getting up early to enjoy a meal, but sadly no one in my family are early risers (10:30am is early to them) LOL, I want to squeeze in a breakfast at our resort, but not sure how to talk them into it. anyone else have this problem???

Take a break from your family and Take a Time for you and only you in the morning with your breakfast and a book or iPad and relax. It Will probably be the only Time in the day you can breathe :smooth:

I used to like getting up and walking around the resort while my family slept. Until the trip I am planning with my sons for this coming Nov we would always do a breakfast or 2. I have been thing about doing what PPs have suggested and going by myself to one.

I agree...go by yourself! I always head out for some decompression time while my family naps in the afternoon...the tea at GF, drink and a snack at Tambu Lounge, photo Safari, etc.

My mom can't face the day without her morning coffee and tends to get up at like 7am. So she always woke up, grabbed something to eat and coffee, then either ate there or came back and ate at the room. Can you convince them to do one or two breakfasts with you? Maybe at a buffet or something?

I agree with the majority, go by yourself. You enjoy breakfast, they do not. Why try to force them into something they don't like just for your pleasure, when you can do it without them?

I know you mentioned a resort breakfast but depending on where you are staying - Epcot area resorts would be the most convenient - and if you have park hoppers and your family can get themselves organized without you (late sleepers I suspect teenagers) go To Epcot and the Les Halles Boulangerie in the France. They open at 9 am so you can enjoy Breakfast and France pretty much all to yourself. It's a little bit magical. Plus some nice quality "me time" while on vacation. Family can meet you later at Epcot or Hollywood Studies (a boat ride away) would be the easiest. Enjoy.
And yes I would totally ditch my family for coffee and a pastry but thankfully? they are all early morning people so no chance of breakfast by myself unless I sneak out.

Where are you staying?

I agree with the others, treat yourself!! What is your favorite breakfast or what do you really want to try? For me it would be Kona or Boma. I would definitely make an ADR for 1. Meet the sleepheads later!

Just a note that if you're staying at BC, don't discount Cape May for breakfast, like I did for years, thinking "Oh, that's a character meal-I'd feel weird doing that by myself". I really enjoyed myself just sitting back watching the characters interact with the families. And no one noticed me alone-they were too busy looking for the characters to notice anything else! Good food and service too.

I agree with this. I'd just go alone. It'll be such a relaxing and enjoyable experience for you! :goodvibes Plus it'll give your family a chance to sleep longer.
