So I made a stop at my local Home depot and stocked up on the Mickey heads I have read so much about. I got every color and a few lime green ones. I figure I put a few LGMH on my stroller. Now what should I do with the rest of them? I want to do something fun the kids would like. Do I make a sign for the door of our room? It's too late to make a countdown to Disney chart. Hmmmmm. Ideas please!!!

I think it is the "Alien Green" color (bright lime green) that is the "official" Disboards color - I have read that people laminate them & put them on their passholders, or hang them on keychains off of their backpacks...some people also post them in their window of their hotel room, with their screen names written on them. The last trip we went on we were really looking, and we saw quite a few Dis'ers! Have a great time!

So, I went to HD this weekend and I could not find "Alien Green" heads-there wasn't even a spot for them. But they did have "Sonic Boom" color, which is also a lime green. Is this close enough or should I go and try to find them at another HD?

Here is what I did.

I know it's too late for you to do this, but I just wanted to share. I also made luggage tags for all our bags. I also wrote "The DIS Rocks!" on them, one letter per head, and strung them on lime green ribbon. This is for my door. I used all different colors, but the DIS part is on LGMH! Best of luck on your trip. You're kids are so cute in their costumes!

I used them to make a regular calender, and then I have extras for a countdown calender. I also use them for scrapbooking, and on luggage when at disney

Sonic Boom is the back up color! So you're ok!

Oh goody! I was worried-I wasn't sure if I was going to find them here or not. i may still take a peek at another HD if I get by there (i still have plenty of time!). Anybody know where I could pick up a LG lanyard?

I bought black scapbook paper with swirls and stars on it and then cut the lime green mickey out placed it on the paper so it stands out and made a button out of it to stick on our messenger bag. You can get the blank "make your own button" thing at AC Moore in the Kids section.

That's a great idea! I may just have to borrow it with your permission! :flower3:

I love the poster. My dd 6 and dd 9 would love to count down the days to our November trip this way. I'm not very "arts and craftsy" but I'm going to give this a try. Thanks :thumbsup2
