We will be going to Epcot and HS. and will be going on most of the attractions. What does everyone recommend about doing with my DSLR camera? can i keep it with me on the attractions? or should i leave it in the hotel room? We only have one day at each park, so going back to take pics isnt an option.

Thanx to all replys and happy disneying

I have before and I will again on the upcoming trip, take pictures on a lot of rides. It's really only the rides where it would be dangerous to someone or the camera that I put it away. So, I'll have it out on ToT but it got put away on RRC.

A lot also depends on what type of camera you have. A point & shoot won't give you the same flexibility as a DSLR.

So I'm not the only one who takes pictures out the open elevator doors at the top of the tower? People always laugh when they look at the ride photos and I have the camera in my face!

I take my DSLR everywhere on every ride .... just hang on to it! :3dglasses

If it is a wet ride I do put it into a bag from one of the Disney stores. I try to get one of these early on in the day.

Nope, not at all and I've gotten those laughs as well.

I've carried mine on every ride- keep it around my neck. Hang on tight to it on RRC. I cover it with a plastic bag on Kali River and the drop on Splash Mt(and when we get stopped under the waterfall). Test Track is a cool ride to try and take pictures on. I too have been known to have the camera to my face on ToT:)

So they allow photography at TOT in WDW? They don't at DL.
WDW is probably the most photo friendly place I've been. There are very few places were photography isn't allowed. I have photos from every ride I've been on. The hardest being RNR. I get a photo just before take off then hold on for dear life, and try not to squish my camera.

Thank you very much for the replies, i guess its settled. I will take my DSLR to WDW and leave the P&S at home.

I just got back from DL and while I didn't make it to the TOT there wasn't any place that I couldn't take pictures - just not flash photography on the dark rides. Perhaps that's what you heard announced?
