What to do with banked points

I have some banked points that I will not be using this year (they will expire if not used) ....what can I do with them?

The most common answers are to rent them, stay at a concierge hotel for a long weekend or deposit them with II. Depositing them with Interval buys you more time to take a vacation in the future.

Thanks for your FAST reply....so if I rent them do I reserve them in the person's name who is getting the points from me?

Renting is the best way to go if you need to use up the points. What I do is rent the points on the rent/trade board, and then use the money to pay for my trip, or pay my dues for the year. At $10 per point you may be able to pay for both dues and a trip! Lucky you!

Another option is donating them to charities that bring ill children to WDW. I have seen several posts on this but can't remember the name of the organization...is it Give Children the World? I'm sure lots of people on this board can provide more info. if you decide to go that route. Good luck!

Well, I was going to say you could give them to me, but I like the above suggestion better than mine- giving them to charity. I guess it depends on how many you have also, if it's not enough to worry about trying to rent them, I would do the above mentioned.
Seeing that I don't actually own YET, advice is hard for me to give, I guess.

If you know a DVC member, you might just swat your banked points to them and have them return an equal amount of points to you when you can use them.

Look on the rent and trade board on this site for someone who might need the amount of points you have.

Good luck, what ever you do, don't let them expire and go unused.
