What to do with backpacks when on rides

This is the first time we will not have a stroller...I hope! Anyway, when you go on a ride is there a place near the CMs where you can stash things until you get out? But I know some of the rides have a different ending spot. I just worry about leaving our stuff unattended but know I can't take a backpack on rollercoasters, etc... What do you do?

Pretty much every ride at WDW will accomodate a backpack ... on some, it may not necessarily be easy (Space Mountain comes to mind), but it IS do-able. Even on Rock n Roller Coaster and Tower of Terror.

Just put your legs through the straps and have it facing backwards at your feet and you will be fine on all Disney rides but Kali. Kali had a center place to put it.

Some rides have a hook to hook it to but I don't like them so I put it at my feet .The chance of both straps slipping off both legs are slim to none.

On our trip in July I had no problems with my back pack. I did as the above posters mentioned... I just put my leg through one of the straps and never had any problem. Space Mountain was the most "compact" place as far as room was concerned, but it wasn't a big deal. On TOT, I felt my bag fly up, and I managed to secure it back down behind my legs, but otherwise I had no problems.

I too have always brought my backpack on rides. And may I say, as the kids get older, it gets lighter!! :thumbsup2

This has always worked for us! :thumbsup2

I carry a very small draw string back pack that I sometimes leave on my back during the ride...cuz I've just got my wallet, and a few loose items in it. Other times, I've worn my bag on my front, or wrapped around my leg. :)

We also put the bags by our feet and haven't had any problems. Some of the roller coasters have a net that you can put it in as well and not have them slip out.

LOL! No doubt!!

We've also brought out backpack on all the rides - even Kali, RNR and Everest - and it managed to stay dry or with us the whole time. :thumbsup2
